Sad to see such a good backup like Scrivens end up in Edmonton. He knew his role as a backup and was a real team player. He might be able to rise to the role of a starter on a team with a good defensive system but that's not the Oilers.
What would opinions be if the Kings had moved Bernier to Oilers?

Lombardi specifically stated he would not trade Bernier within their division. So that ruled Edmonton and Calgary out (I would assume unless they offered up extreme overpayment). Gillis had a similar philosophy with Schneider.
Bernier would help, but it's not like it would make them playoff contenders, even if you assumed Edmonton got him for the same price as Toronto did. Goaltending isn't even the biggest issue in Edmonton.

I like Tortorella. He's a coach that gives a shit. He gives you a pat in the back for scoring a goal. He snaps at other coaches if he hears them mouthing off at his players.
AV might've been the same coach but I never saw him express it the way Torts does.
Also, I think the Twins are buying into it. I forgot was it LA or STL game where Daniel block a shot and looked like he was hurt but he came back on to the ice right after a break on the bench.
