On the heels of the worldwide success of “Man of Steel,” director Zack Snyderis bringing together the two greatest Super Heroes of all time—Batman and Superman—for the first time on the big screen. The announcement was made today by Greg Silverman, President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production, and Sue Kroll, President, Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution,Warner Bros. Pictures.

nyder is co-writing the story with David S. Goyer, who will then pen the screenplay. Production is expected to begin in 2014, with an anticipated release date inSummer 2015.

The new film brings back Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder as producers. This time, Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas are serving as executive producers, along with Benjamin Melniker and Michael E. Uslan.

Thomas offered, “Whilst our ‘Dark Knight’ trilogy is complete, we have every confidence that Zack’s fresh interpretation will take the character in a new and exciting direction. His vision for Superman opened the door to a whole new universe and we can’t wait to see what Zack does with these characters.”

flashpoint paradox was dope

ShadowBun 07-20-2013 04:12 PM

^ Definitely
Kind of down that they didn't show what Bruce's dad wrote

StylinRed 07-20-2013 04:18 PM

They've been wanting to do a Batman Superman movie for decades i'll believe it when i see it

As for JL they've been talking about that for ages as well but have kept pushing it back

Hopefully we'll see them

SkinnyPupp 07-20-2013 04:20 PM

I dunno without Christopher Nolan, Batman might suck again

Because both the latest Superman movies kind of sucked. The last one sold a lot of tickets though so that's the direction that'll stay I guess. The thing about the Nolan movies is that they did well AND they were good. We need more movies like that.

StylinRed 07-20-2013 04:50 PM

i dont think nolans style would fly for something like justice league though or even superman heck it barely worked for batman imo (but they were good flicks nonetheless)

No I don't think so either... Whedon would be perfect, as has been proven.. but obviously that can't happen.

JJ Abrams would be a better choice than what Snyder has shown too.. but again he'll be busy for a long time with Star Wars

I get what they're going for by going with Snyder, I just don't really like it. His movies are all style, no substance. Abrams and Whedon can do the style, but their movies still have interesting characters.

Actually I think David Fincher would make an amazing super hero movie :ahwow:

They need Michael Bay for the Justice League...

Spoiler!

StylinRed 07-20-2013 05:40 PM

^^^ i could see him working for Teen Titans he'll fill all the roles with models + explosions and since it would be a teen flick BOOM success :D

Unfortunately, David S. Goyer and Henry Cavill didn't let slip any huge details about the recently announced Batman/Superman movie, but did reveal that they have yet to decide on a title for the Man of Steel sequel. "We don't know what we're going to call it yet — 'Superman vs. Batman,' 'Batman vs. Superman,' — but those two guys on screen, that's happening." World's Finest seems to be a popular choice among many fans, but that may not be the best title to help sell this movie to regular moviegoers. What would you guys like them to choose? When Goyer was asked whether or not he was surprised about the backlash surrounding Superman breaking General Zod's neck at the end of Man of Steel, he replied: "To a certain extent, Superman, cinematically, hadn't been reinvented since the Donner films. We will be dealing it with the coming film. He's not fully formed in [Man of Steel]. He will have to deal with the repercussions in the next film.

agreed
but I don't think Fincher can do a good comic book adaptation tho...then again I'd probably say the same thing about Nolan before he did the batman films

rsx 07-21-2013 09:03 PM

Any ideas on the story line? Adapt a comic series?

Sometimes it's the less obvious choices that do the best job.. I mean this whole modern superhero movie revolution was started by Spiderman, directed by Sam Raimi who up until that point did mostly horror movies
