That was saturday though, when most of the lifts on blackcomb side(dunno about whistler side) was closed except a select few. so thats why everyone was feeding into jersey cream because it was one of the only ones available on that day.

Huh? When and where did you go?

Line ups for every lift on blackcomb until about 2PM were in excess of 30 min. I rode crystal chair twice and it took almost 1 hour the first time and 30min the second time.

After about 2PM Jersey was down to a 5-10min wait and solar coaster and excelerator were down to about the same.

On saturday it was snowing in the village as well, however the snow was wet, but anything up past midstation was just good fluffy snow.

Alpine will be epic whenever they decide to open it...

EDIT: Nvm heisenberg you're a tool, of course it wasn't busy on friday, it didn't dump 49cm the night before and half of vancouver wasn't up there riding that day...

^ What is considered 'Alpine'?

Blackcomb was epic today, everything open except the T-Bars. Lift line ups ranged from a couple of minutes to 15 mins max. So much pow, beautiful weather as the sun came out at 11:30am.

Was up Saturday. Morning Creekside line started at 7AM, so they waited an hour and a half to get first runs. I lineup'd at 8:30 and got on at 9:15. Big Red had only about a 10 minute wait once you got off the Creekside lift which was not bad. I rode Fran'z chair the whole day. No wait which was great and plenty of powder through the trees until about 1PM and then it get snowed out.

Just came back from a ski trip at Big White over the weekend, That place was UNREAL! have never ridden in snow like that before. Chapagne powder. Fresh pow all the way! Apparently our tour guide said that it was the one of the best conditions he'd seen throughout conducting tours.

Here are some pics to but they don't do justice.

Spoiler!

Everyones definitions are a little different. Theoretically anything above midstation on either mountain is alpine.

But in this scenario, when you are seeing large volume chairlifts like Harmony, symphony, 7th, glacier, peak, etc. closed I really do not count that as the alpine being open...

Mmmm. Yea, Saturday I heard, from everyone I talked to, sucked. Cause of all those closed lifts. But the Sunday was so much better with every thing open. Glad I went instead of cancelling last minute.

Yeah I heard Sunday was crazy good. I can't complain I had a great time Saturday, my best day so far this season. I just would have been even happier with a few more laps.

Hoping to head up again middle of the week next week. I am hoping they are going to get the parks going good.

Rode seymour the past 3 days and it was ok. Fucking around on some side hits, rock jibs, etc. Forecast looks like we are completely fucked again after the hope that storm brought us.
