I know this guy. About 2 years ago he pestered us outside some club on Granville begging us to pay him for a groin kick. We said no for like 10 minutes but finally caved in. We pooled like $160 between us and my friend let 'er rip. He seemed nearly un-phased by it like he didn't have genitals at all. We chilled with him afterwards and had a smoke then parted ways. Although it would seem like a super cruel thing to do but honestly it ended like a satisfied business transaction for both parties. Later on everyone was like "post that shit on FB, it's hilarious". I'm like "fcuk that, you'll get charged with assualt y0!"
Sure enough, this thread happens.............
Does anyone know if one-arm push-up guy is still roaming the streets downtown? He was a legend in the 90's.
The real fucking scum are these assholes who are taking advantage of the mentally ill and homeless for their own personal amusement. Especially when it involves assault and injury. It's despicable behaviour and represents a sad state for our society.
I hope these fuckers get found and punished.
Maybe we should arrest steve o from jack ass and those Shaolin monks. And lets not forget all the idiots on you tube that do stupid stuff for views.
About a month ago I had some bum pester me downtown for $5 he would light his beard on fire. Had it been 10 years ago i would more than happy to hand over $5 to see his beard go up in flames.
Uhh, if you compared Steve-O to this example he would be considered the "victim" so no, we would not arrest him.
Also, the movie studios didn't chase down Steve-O and steal their money back like the fuckers in this article did.
Try not to strain that one brain cell too hard when you think up a reply next time.
Didn't watch the full video when i posted but the guy at the start was clearly not a victim at the start but a willing participant and it's clearly not the first time he has done this. Also Steve o has hit a number of people n the groin.

Guys, the 1st homeless guy is a dude I know. His name is The Goldfish because he has a memory problem and cannot remember anything more than like 10 seconds of life at a time. Feel bad for him as he is always so confused.
Clearly the welfare system in this "free" and rich country doesnt provide enough assistance to its destitute that they are willing to get kicked the groin for $40... never mind our countries immorally kicking and watching citizens, brought up with our violent media.
^ my paychecks see a big enough dent in them from taxes. Last thing I want is an even bigger dent because we apparently don't provide them with enough assistance.
You can give up your paycheck, cause I sure the hell don't want to...it's not that I don't care about them, it's just that I've enough of my own problems to worry about. Posted via RS Mobile

Reminds me of this time (about a year ago) my girlfriend was selling her shoes on craigslist/list4all.
This man offered to pay her more to buy her shoes but the catch is that she have to wear them and kick him in the groin.
My girlfriend agreed and asked me to go along with her for safety.
I must say I was skeptical about all that, but to my surprise it was the darnest thing I had ever seen.
We met up at metropolis and we went downstairs to the secluded parking lot.
The person seemed like an ordinary white man maybe in his 40s.
He brought a groin cup with him along and he wanted to film it with his iphone.
He had trouble filming it while getting kicked in the groin so he asked me to do it with his phone. (I didn't film the face on purpose)
My gf's kicks were so weak and I wanted to do it for her.
At the end of it all he tried to walk away with the shoes pretending he forgot to pay, but my gf stopped him and he paid up.
That's one experience I don't think i'll forget

Not sure if its the same guy, but I had a dude ask me for $20 and I could give him a shot to the beets on Granville about 10 years ago. I was super drunk and really tempted... didn't do it but man did I want to! Its a pretty hard offer to refuse..

Lol living on the streets is a choice my friend. Whatever their background is that led them to living on the streets it is their choice. UNLESS they are mentally ill. People choose to stay addicted to drugs, refuse to get a job. You have no idea how many people abuse the welfare system. Vancouver isn't a cheap city to live in, but if immigrants working two minimum wage jobs to support their families can do it, there really is no excuse for anyone else.

Isnt Columbia (top supplier of Cocaine) the Israel of Latin America and Afghanistan (top supplier of Heroin) another country "we" control? So who is supplying the drugs?
Also doesnt our media promote drugs, alcohol and social degeneracy?
It seems to me that the name of the game is to break people to further create lower classes and keep up the slave work that needs to be done, and if that isnt good enough, import foreign workers to keep the downward spiral.

You would think a moral and advanced nation would have a place for these unfortunate souls.

Do you blame them? How does a family save money when the banks practice fractional reserve banking... this means if your parents save $100,000 of hard work, by the time the kids grow up that money get devalued 20-40%. Housing, the most essential thing to own, is unstable... bubbles and crashes, the people are the only ones losing here.

"Corporations" flood the market with products and barely pay proper tariffs or corporate tax (taking away jobs), the country builds up ludicrous debt and pays high interest (30-40 billion a year) from tax payer monies... all the while we dont invest in our own resource extraction, but let "corporations" take it away for little royalties.
This country is a joke and if havent figured it out, good luck when the next cycle of depression hits.

Tell me Canada isnt the wealthiest resource rich nation in the world per capita? There should be so much surplus that the government would be giving people money from the profits.

If you like seeing people get kicked in the groin, look up America's Funniest Videos.
