so far Im still not sure which one to get lol been getting lots of suggestions for all sorts of brands leaning towards tobeco or infinite.

I think if I buy the tobeco one, I have to buy a seperate drip tip where as the infinite one comes with one

I just wanted to share the latest experience I had.

So i've been using Ni200 wire for my DNA40 device, and I have to admit, it's changing the way i vape.

No more am I chasing clouds, and no more dry hits AT ALL.

I have 3 atomizers wrapped with Nickle/Ni200 wire. a Kayfun, the yaeliq, and my Plumeviel 1.5

I have been able to vape this between 400 and 480 Fahrenheit, and set to 25-40 watts respectively.

The vapor quality is immense, and I have yet to get a burnt scratchy dry hit.

Here are some photos of the coils so far.

This is a .15 20 wrap, 28 gauge Ni200 coil

And this is a 14 wrap, .09 28 gauge Ni200 coil

And yes.....I am considering introducing DNA40 devices in 2015

Curious to see how you guys organize all your vaping shit. I have all mine stashed in a drawer, and have a cheap eBay lipstick holder for my juice, and random stuff I found around the house to hold the other stuff. I want something to hold my mods properly, maybe I'll DIY something this winter. Should probably move my camera gear out of there, idk, lol.

Spoiler!

Just forwarning you now.

The dna40 device I'm going to make WILL be a very limited run

As each device will take roughly 15-20 hours to make

any rough idea on how its going to look like, price point, and eta for when you want deposits? prefer to put deposit down first

im assuming you will incorporate usb charging possibly unless you going to go dual battery which i have seen some people have built their dna40 mods

what it will look like? not going to disclose till i get closer to a finalized prototype

price? more than my vaporflask but less than a variant

I don't

My local shop that i get my supplies at, is the ohm depot, I can be found there at times on the weekends

However, if i buy any gear, it's all dependent on which shop carries it.

I recently bought my Vaporflask from Vaporologie Gastown.

I also got my Orchid clone from East side vapes.

but generally, i get most of my goods sent to me via gracious vendors all across the States, and juice from generous juicers in BC.

FYI, Darkside's website has 25% off right now.

Also, a little mini-review here.

Just picked up the new Aspire Atlantis yesterday at ESV, and my god, is this thing amazing. People are calling it "the end of RBA's"... I wouldn't say that, but as far as tanks go, it's miles away from anything else on the market. Compared to an RBA, you don't lose much or if at all, any flavor, but you do lose a bit of vapor production (depending on your build). The Atlantis uses sub-ohm coils, and probably produces the same vapor as a higher-ohm RBA. I'd even go so far to say that the little bit of lost vapor production is worth the convenience of a tank and not having to re-coil/re-wick/refill so often. Definitely going to be using this daily, unless I really feel like cloud chasing.

interesting.

i found the flavour muted, the vapor production a little lack luster, and the capacity of the tank purtrid

I've been playing around with the sub tank from kanger, and have been putting these two devices side by side, and found the kanger [albeit stupidly bigger in every which way to the atlantis] far superior to the aspire tank. For a few reasons

-aspire uses silica and mesh for their wicking material vs kanger using organic cotton

-aspire has larger airflow holes which IMO mute flavour if you cannot produce sufficient vapor to compensate for the airflow. However that's neither a negative or a positive since both tanks have adjustable airflow to regulate the flavor/vapor production

-aspire has a 2.5 ml tank capacity vs kanger's 5ml [in regular prebuilt coils] and 4+ml [in rebuildable tank mode]. This leads you to fill it up less, resulting in less wear and tear in the seals, and a less likely chance of breaking or dropping anything.

-aspire tank is retailed roughly 45, vs kangers MSRP of 50. but what you get is a whole lot more bang for your buck. aspire gives you a replacement glass [great!] and a replacement coil [beautiful!] BUT kanger gives you a replacement coil, tools, extra prewrapped RBA coils, japanese cotton, and a little bit more for only a few bucks extra.....

I had yet to give any verdict on the aspire till i had a chance to play around with the subtank, and my initial predictions were on point with other reviewers out there. Dollar to dollar, the kanger product edges over aspire, but only THIS time around

Interesting.

It's been a few days of using the Aspire one now, and I honestly don't feel like any flavor is lost. Vapor production does suffer, but I think I'm over cloud chasing for a while. Or at least, while I'm on the go or at work.

I'll have to give the Kanger a shot sometime if I feel like making an impulse buy. Like you said, usually Aspire>Kanger, but in this case it sounds like the Kanger might be a better buy. (Not to say that the Aspire isn't a good choice.)

it's worth it to compare the two.

I don't have any bias because i didn't buy either of these products, so none of them have any monetary value for me.

Because of which, i go at it with an open mind, and report to the shop i received it from. They have their synopsis and they're happy.

IMO, the atlantis received a shit load of hype, but it worked. and it is a GREAT product!

Industry first to offer a consumer level cloud chasing clearomizer!

I run a 26g horizontal parallel coil somewhere between 0.3-04. I built vertical dual micros a few times but I wouldn't recommend it. I don't think it's really designed for it even though you can.

Turns out they did come with screws but literally the dinkiest screws ive ever seen. they don't have a head to it its just a 2mm segment of threads and a recession cut into the top to fit a special screwdriver head
