Detailed - 1994 Mazda Miata - Brilliant Black

Detailed a friend's new purchase - 1994 Mazda Miata in Brilliant Black. This is a single stage paint meaning it does not have clearcoat. Additionally, the paint appears to be original and as a result, has accumulated several blemishes over the past 20 years. The owner was considering repainting the vehicle but I thought I would help him out with a detail and see if it tides him over for now.

This was purely a paint detail. Didn't have time to address the interior or engine bay.

Received the car friday evening. Doesn't look bad but it was cloudy out

Sun came out which helped a lot demonstrating the difference. Rear trunklid was really bad

With another car of similar vintage

Anyways, there are still a lot of dents and paint peeling on the hardtop in a couple of spots (originally red), but IMO, those are character marks. Have to expect it on a 20-year old car. For it's age, I think it looks great again.

Derrick's. Living in my garage for now. But I don't mind. She's a pretty old thing.

Sweet. I thought it might be but I didn't realize he did any mods to it.

Wow, the paint looks great.
I'm intrigued by those rims, they suit the car perfectly

Thanks!

I believe he is looking to buy different wheels. So if they interest you perhaps he could sell them to you.
