I'm never going to show up in person to an RS meet for fear of being photographed and converted to a "first world problems" meme character.

GT4 should be out of my life early this week, deposit taken on NSX and just waiting for Letter of Compliance from Honda of America.

What does it all mean? It means I'm actively shopping for a number of replacements, very tempted to build a 964 RS copy but terrified of what I will end up spending on it.

Between a set of pole positions, a set of cup 2s, some air ducts and some door pulls, you could have something pretty close for under 90k, and in awesome condition. I wish I was less poor as 964s were so cheap. The more money I have to spend the more expensive everything cool gets.
Theres a sick local 964 for 60k(?)
Retarded price, but thats the going rate now I guess.

One thing that has me scratching my head the last few days - E30 M3's values > 964 values.

I have no idea why anyone would take a E30 M3 over a 964 :s

There is a way larger range in the e30 m3 market. I've seen quite a few e30s lately I've considered (only to realize I'm retarded and have no understanding of my personal finances) for the price they have been listed. I'm talking great drivers for 38-45k USD.
That seems to be lower than the driver 964s by a shade. However you can get fucking incredible 964s, even RS americas for like 80k, where the best e30 M3s eclipse 100k.
If I could truly commit to the price difference from my car to the next choice, I'd buy whichever one popped up in my price range for the condition I wanted first. They are certainly 2 of my favourite cars looks wise, but I've never driven either. Only non-M e30s.

Yep, figured it was. I wish I'd bought it from you when it was very fairly priced for its history/condition. Oh well, flippers gonna flip

Yeah. It was a good honest car. Now, I'd have to sell it twice to rebuy it

64k now. On sale! https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/van/cto/5793358164.html

My 97 C4S w/175km had a $25k hit and a vandalism claim as well. I sold it too cheap apparently at 72k CAD.

I drove a rat bagged 365km 1990 964 C2 and it was awesome. Baltic blue on blue interior with sport seats as well. $15k CAD and I passed. If you read some of the projects on RL they are long and expensive but you are left with a fantastic car worth holding on to. I've never driven an E30 but I understand the nostalgia and appeal of the wide body. RS America up to $90k USD on BAT: 1993 Porsche 911 RS America | Bring a Trailer

Jason you made a good point the other day that you get warranty with 997.2 GT3 RS. At 180K + that is serious coin though.

Itching for another GT4...

Stateside the premium is gone, they are now trading hands at list or below.

I would love another 997 GT3 but I'm old and soft, I need tech and comfort... plus warranty is nice to have when the potential costs to repair catastrophic engine failure start at 25k.

For speculators and opportunists, its probably a good time now to buy and dump the cayman GT4 back to the dealer for a spot to buy the 991 GT3 6mt or GT2. Word is that unless you have something with GT or greater in the name to trade, chances are slim they will give you allocation.

I highly doubt you can get a GT2RS allocation unless you are on the VIP program.

Regarding the 991.2 GT3, you can still get an allocation (2018 built) if you have a GT4/GT3(997.2<)/RS trade-in; I can point you to the right person to talk to.
