Soon my SA is giving me first dibs on a GT Silver GT4 with LWB's and PCCB's, not really how I would configure the car but it's already landed and I can have it at MSRP.
Keep the NSX or swap for the GT4????

			NSX FTW
Personally would do any colour but silver and would want steel brakes

Could make some money on the GT4 though - drive it for free for a few months hmmmmmm

Personally I'd pick the car designed by Senna over the one designed by Hitler, but that's just me.

buy it and sell the one you don't like when you move down.
NSX honeymoon will end at some point when you miss 21st century technology.

NSX will always be the halo car. GT4 will be a fling until you get a GT3 or RS. 991.2 that is, assuming you'd want a stick shift.

			Hmm...let's see.
 911 2.7
 911 SC
 964
 993
 996
 997
 991

These cars have come and gone and had their market ups and downs (including rare models and turbo models and WHY.) I remember the 911SC and 964 being so undesirable, back 7 years ago, you couldn't even give away a nice 964 for $15K.

THe NSX has never seen any kind of market fluctuation. It is, and will always, be rare, and highly desirable.

 Just some food for thought.

The NSX was a great car in its prime and probably is still a great car now but the GT4 is sick now and will get you more asian pussy.

I'd take the GT4 for a short fling, and make the NSX the keeper.
(Or, if you enjoy the fling too much, you can always turn her into a keeper too. )

If Porsche were to build a ton of GT cars to fill every persons need then it would devalue the brand. Its something exclusive and prestigious, and frankly it should be.

They will not make as much money as they possibly could if they were to make more of these cars but they don't seem to believe that is the most important aspect of there cars.

NSX FTW, it will always be timeless. The GT4 will become "just another porsche" Or like some have suggested, if your able to, buy it, drive it for a bit and sell.

After passing on the car it was instantly sold to another local customer of the dealer.
I know you have/had an RS with LWB's, not sure how you felt about them but they are not for me.
They are still carrot dangling me with an allocation, would be happy to do a build but not interested in paying > MSRP. Supposed to know by Tuesday AM if I can get allocation.

I would of walked too at 18k over, not my first choice of color but i do prefer to have pccb and bucket seats. the bucket seats fit me well, and decently comfortable. id definitely order them if i were to spec a car. PCCB makes no dust which keep the car/wheel clean all the time. unless you go to track every weekend and run the shit out of it, they would last quite a while.
I started looking for an allocation about a month ago. every dealer i called have told me all the gt4 allocations have given out, no chance of getting one anymore. If they can source you an allocation that hasn't locked, just go for it. or hook a brother up lol

Was out for a walk and saw this -
Saw it rolling too, sounds good, increased my want factor significantly.

I really like the standard Porsche sport seats, they are super comfy and supportive, I would rather spec the car with standard sport seats and throw a Pole Position in for track days.
+ LWB's are a 6K option.

You know it's funny. Back when the car (GT4) was first released, I was absolutely floored by how pretty the blue and yellow cars were.
Fast forward to the day when I saw a blue GT4 in person -- I was totally smittened by how fantastically good the car (and the colour) looks in real life.
I continue to love the way the lines are and shape of the car (and of course the performance too), but since then, I have seen quite a few different GT4's in person -- usually at the track, but sometimes also in Richmond. I dunno why, but that blue just doesn't seem to work for me anymore. Especially when the car is under the sun, the blue doesn't look nearly as dark or saturated as Porsche's press photos are. The same goes for the yellow. White looks quite decent, but I think that gray might look best to me now.
At any rate, none of this babbling is relevant since I wouldn't ever be able to afford one anyway. | | | | | | |
