csc useful in getting a.job in the bank

Is the csc exam useful? I tried getting a csr job at multiple banks and nothing. If i pass and get my csc ,will it help in getting a job at the bank?
I find the csc is used mainly for financial service rep.

Don't you have to work your way up from csr/teller then get the fsr postion which requires the csc.
I can't even get a csr call center job or teller job. I had an interview at cibc for skip tracer postion but didn't get it.
I had a phobe interview for call center job but didn't get called in for face to face interview.
They ask you a lot tricky csr scenario questions.
An example
Give me an example when you had difficult customer and how did you deal with it.

Don't need CSC or other things like that to be a CSR. Having previous finance experience will help but they generally start you out as a CSR. The question they asked you about difficult customers is pretty basic, you will be working with the public representing them...

If you couldn't get that one... CSC isn't gonna help you trust me. Go retail and get your ass handed to you for a little while and try again.

I'm going to ask you without knowing the background here but, why are you looking to work in a Bank? Is it because theres something there you're actually passionate about... or is it because (insert parent/friends/stereotype advice) say its a good cushy place to work.

I thought you were going to be a plumber?

barrier to entry of CSR is dealing with people and having a minimum level of intelligence / ability to problem solve.

education isn't your problem, your interview responses / lack of experience dealing with people appears to be the problem.

^ ding ding ding ding.. we've got a winner here.

Lack of experience is a given so I do have to give OP credit; it's how you can't even handle entry level questions that makes you epic fail and not get a call back.

top 5 fails.
1) candidate doesn't smile (even on the phone you can tell)
2) no sense of passion or excitement during a conversation
3) doesn't show any means of answering outside of the scope of question.
4) short answers
5) lack of manners.

+1 Customer facing Jobs require a lot of smiling, and sincerity to ensure members/customers you are dealing with trust you.

Tellers are the banks front line, i would say that, they look for people who smile, is friendly, no criminal record (this is a given), is able to talk to people with out getting nervous, and is able to adapt to different customers. Well that is what i look for when i'm hiring staff for my front desk (hotel). Gain some customer experience before applying again.

McDonalds. Timmies. Starbucks. Anything retail in the mall. No shortage of good places to start.
