I've never been a huge fan of the Olympics for a few reasons, but I still don't get why they don't just host them in Greece every time (at least the summer ones)? Build the facilities once, Greece can bring in some money (last I checked they needed it) and everyone doesn't have to go through the chaos of things not being ready every time. Maybe let different countries "host" it by coming up with the ceremonies and some of the themed stuff, and boom done.

Who's going to give the IOC their bribes if it's in Greece every year? BTW, you'll be disappointed to know that their headquarter's in Switzerland and none of their higher ups are of Greek descent.
Im in the same boat, in that I dont really feel excited about watching the games this year either for some reason.
But I bet you within a week, the tune of this thread will completely change as soon as we start hearing stories about what the Canadians have done, and catch some clips and montages on the news. This year they're in a reasonable time zone too!
There's something about cheering on your country in the Olympics that always hits you in the feels and draws you in. Im so fucking proud to be a Canadian I can't help but watch and cheer.
I always like coming into the RS official threads to catch up on everything that happened that day. So many of you are so good at collecting videos and articles, its nice to catch up on that, and on the discussion about it. Don't let me down RSbros

The "official" thread was started a month earlier, but was not active at the time the second one was started. Not anyone's fault, but a merge would be nice.

If Silver is the first loser, then bronze is the second winner. Right?
