Number 2 just fills in character developement. The fight between Beatrix and Elle was amazing.

Volume 2 was amazing... one of the best movies I've seen.

You'd have to be an idiot not to like it. You're favorite movie is probably Clueless

Also: for those of you expecting gore like the 1st movie... it ain't gonna happen. Like someone said, this one is about character development and explaining the back stories from Vol. 1

You have to understand Terintinos directing in order to like those movies. Don't flame it harsh if you cant put your mind into his perspective.

Yup. If you don't have an open mind you won't enjoy these movies. Vol.2 is completely different as far as the "gore factor" and the character development is vital to the series. Terentino doesn't like to explain himself on why he does what he does leaving a lot of the direction up to our own interpretations.
I've heard of one critic in particular who didn't like this movie and gave it 1.5 stars but who cares? It's all subjective and opinions are like herpes...everyones got'em. Except me, hahaha!

Something a friend said about KB2

I found it extremely more enjoyable than the first one, but considering I found the first one as enjoyable as an extended visit to the toilet after a bad night of cheap beer and mexican food, that's not saying much. Scratch that, I think the toilet experience was MORE enjoyable.

Anyways I liked the fact that this movie concentrated less on action and more on dialogue. The characters didn't seem so outlandishly wacky, and it almost sounded like the actors rehearsed their lines before they got in front of the camera. However the plot and the story were quite weak, continously throughout the movie scenes were extended unnecessarily just to fill the 2 hour space alotted for it. The characters didn't really seem to make any sense, they all seemed to exhibit random behaviour at random times that didn't really fit with how they had behaved up until that point.

All in all by the end of the movie I was so disinterested with the whole story that I didn't really care who won the climactic battle, which really wasn't that climactic. And then the whole thing was topped off with this whole "Not Without My Daughter!" family circus ending.

Bleh Quentin has lost his touch, after Jackie Brown I think he is willing to try anything to get back on the "edge", but in reality his attempts are laughable, akin to the random sitcom dad who tries to get in touch with his son by being "hip" and using catch-phrases. "Quentin is off da hook!!" And to use some slang more appropriate to his age group, off his rocker.
