Volunteering for Olympics?

How many of you SERIOUSLY want t volunteer for the Olympics?

I know I will sign up when the time comes (2008) - whether I get it is another story :p

Kontessa 07-16-2003 12:36 AM

i'd like to, but its so hard to plan ahead. i don't know where i'm gonna be/what i'm gonna be doing in seven years time. but if i'm still here in vancouver and all is well - then for sure, i'd volunteer :)

1z-0n-m3h 07-16-2003 06:14 AM

CKMack 07-16-2003 10:23 AM

I'll be an usher at all the hockey games :D

CivicBlues 07-16-2003 12:00 PM

its going to be REALLY hard to get it, so even though you really want it; Whether the Olympic organizers want you or not is a different story.

oo oo me too!

Levitron 07-16-2003 03:47 PM

I would.

Speaking of the topic of whether it's hard to get into voluteering at a large international sports event......I think it might not be as hard as you think.

I have a friend who volunteered at the games for the 2002 World Cup in Japan. She got to watch some games too.....hehe :)

I wanna be the stick boy for the Canadian National Hockey team. Oh man, that would be fucking awesome.

there was another huge event like this, can't remember what.. but so many people wanted to volunteer, that the volunteers had to PAY...

why do you want to volunteer?
if it's because you just want to get in for free or have a good view, then okay at least you're being honest.
but there are a lot of people out there that say they want to volunteer for this "to do their part" or something which is bs, because these people are rarely the ones that volunteer their time elsewhere.

no kidding. one of my good friends works for vanoc and is in charge of all the volunteers.
