They aren't light...but not that heavy either.

2.0L 4cyl 255HP :)

i believe the latest celica gt4's had
265hp
and the MR2 had
245hp.

the stock 245hp mr2 can do the mid 13's.

Zeus 01-03-2004 11:29 AM

the latest gen celica's did infact have 255 while the mr2's had 245... the only difference between the celica and the mr2 are the intercooler (motor wise anyway) which goes to show just how efficient the st205 water to air intercooler actually is...

Must have had fun out there last night Blake, saw you and waved as I plowed my FF POS through the intersection :lol

Either that or the fact that the SW20 MR2 has very VERY limited air flow in the engine compartment, resulting in higher intake temps. The MR2 should have had the water-to-air IC, and the ST205 should have had a frontmount.

I SOOOOO AGREE!!!

the mr2 responds very well to a water to air caue you can front mount the rad... which is much easier than running ic pipes all the way to the front...

the gtfour doesnt need an fmic but it would be cool...

however i think toyota just rated them differently and i doubt they actually dyno tested them to see air temp diffs rather the 205 motor with the larger and better flowing ic obviously will gain in power and air flow... the stock a2a ic is HORRIBLE and a very old design..

tis a shame they didnt think of the 205 wta ic for the mr2's but meh

2 words, one of which being "turbo", the other being "lag" :p :lol

Is the intake manifold design any different between the All Tracs and the turbo MR2s? I know that at high boost, #3 cyl can get a little too much air due to the design, which can lead to running lean.

the intake manifold is identicle... :( and the lean on the inside cylenders is ghey... the later designed manifolds on the 205's cured that problem... but im even more interested in the caldina manifold as it has a side mounted throttle body which will be awesome for a front mounted intercooler piping

that makes 2 or 3 all- trac celica's on the island board?

Click on "Intake Manifolds"

http://www.trueleo.com/ :D $500 USD gets you a pretty nice unit. Troy is also in this year's USCC in Sport Compact Car mag.

Zeus 01-07-2004 09:15 PM

he also blows up his motor on the dyno ;)

i know all about that guy have talked to him many times on the mr2boards....

i dont really like his intake manifold just cause its too big ide like something that keeps the tvis as well to maintain as much lowened as possible

You obviously didnt see the specs from the flowbench man!

Look at the continuity between cylinders!
All numbers are in CFM at 10’’ of water

Intake cyl 1 cyl 2 cyl 3 cyl 4 total

None 81.10 81.10 81.10 81.10 324.40

Trueleo 78.90 78.80 78.80 78.80 315.30

Stock 73.64 73.85 73.95 73.55 294.99

Port/stk 73.85 74.10 74.25 73.75 295.95

PS - I dont see why you care about tvis when this manifold could allieviate your lean probs. Lean problems > TVIS

Zeus 01-07-2004 09:58 PM

ive added more fuel to the inside cylenders anyway im not too worried about it

Zeus 01-09-2004 10:27 AM

Thanks dude!

Yeah, they are all pretty rare tho i see lots of them locally for some reason...

Lychee 01-09-2004 11:59 AM
