I kinda failed on my car since the white turned a diff colour cause of the sun and i'm really a noob at PS beyond the basic tools. I used this video tutorial and used the nasioc site as a reference and starting point after seeing how it looked so awesome.

Oh wow, I couldnt see it at all until you mentioned it and I inverted the image.
My screen sucks.
But yeah, i guess thats the result of lazy cloning. Haha

niforpix 11-06-2009 11:06 AM

Haha no worries. I think my screen isn't the best either. I can't see those spot on the screen at work and I'm pretty sure this one is calibrated. Maybe mine at home is too bright or something.

Bonjour43MA 11-06-2009 10:32 PM

a lot of the uncalibrated monitors are simply WAY too bright...

...and too cyan.

ColinK 11-07-2009 02:38 PM

^ got any tools to help calibrate monitors?

Senna4ever 11-07-2009 03:57 PM

The best way to calibrate a monitor is to buy a Spyder3, Eye One or similar device. Don't bother with the Adobe Gamma that's built in to Adobe software. It sucks.

There is a free software called QuickGamma for Windows users that is better than Adobe Gamma, but it's still not as accurate as hardware based colour correction.
