What's the point of the receiver then other than to tune into radio? | Reciever now a days usually refers to home theatre recievers which can switch audio and video sources where as a pre-amp/amp combo usually refers to two channel sound.
If you wanted to listen to radio with a pre-amp/amp combo, you'd get a tuner.
