Cool, I take it that you sold it for a profit?
younwun, you wouldn't have so much as a problem of communicating, as most ppl have at least a bare minimum knowledge of english these days, as ppl thinking you're arrogant for speaking english to them.
At the new place I used to work I thought the office language was english and on my second day a colleague flat out told me "don't speak to me in English, our mother tongue is Chinese". I was shocked for 2 seconds before I told her in english "well then that's just too bad for you isn't it? cause I'm not gonna change the way I speak". Anyway we get along fine now that I set my rules with ppl
But on the other hand, you'd get faster/better services if you spoke english and also they can't hold an arguement with you lol Quote: Originally posted by Fran i use to live right on top of the kowloon station too. |

Been away and back again for 2 months.... wrote down a long train of thought while I was on the plane the other day but it's still on my laptop, will post that later...
On another note, finally found a Zero Halliburton in HK and someone stole it out of my car after only 2 months..... only satisfaction I get is the look on the damn bastard's face when he opens up my case expecting $$$$ and only finds a camera and some docs.... on the down side, I had to reapply for my passport (pain in the ass since they tried to grill me on how it was stolen, etc and I asked them if I SOLD my passport to someone, would I have sent an email to a customs supt to be on the look out for ME?)
Anyway, here's more pics!

I must admit, even though the longest I can stay in HK is like a week (before getting super homesick), seeing all these pics are making me wanna go back again! Too bad the plane ride takes too damn long...
