I goto PoCo regularly with a bunch of guys that have tons of guns. So if anyone comes up and sees 3 to 4 guys with 4 benches full of various guns and rifles in the racks chances are thats us. Oh yea we mostly go during the winter months cuz we cant ride :D

what license requirements are there for the place in the states "wades"

johny 09-20-2005 08:52 PM

you don't need a licence to shoot guns... only to buy them. just show up and pay for rent. assuming they do rent guns which the post says.

It was my fault I typed can ride when I meant to say cant ride. LOL

I think a few of us are goin to PoCo this weekend... I was hoping to buy a new pistol this week but it doesn't look like Italian is going to have them ready to sell. Im looking at getting a Kimber Stainless TLE/RL .45acp

wolfwood 09-21-2005 11:55 AM

Is that the place on like Renfrew and 6th or something? Do they have the best deals?

Italian? I think they have some of the best pricing around. When I was shopping for my Remington 870 Marine Magnum they beat everyone in town by a couple of 100 bucks and matched the best price I found on the net. Very nice guys always friendly. Talking to Gino is a trip cuz hes an old Italian Gentlemen with the super thick accent, but hes super cool and very knowledgable.

Ulic Qel-Droma 09-21-2005 12:36 PM

some stores in like alberta or manitoba are cheaper, but then you'll have to pay for shipping and wait. yeah i think italian is cheapest in vancouver.

None. You walk in, sign a waiver, pay the fee, and they give you a gun. You can choose from any of their guns within a single calibur. You just have to use their round when using their guns. If it's your first time shooting, they give you an intro on how to use the gun safely.

They also have a .50 Magnum revolver to rent too. I haven't tried that one yet though :lol

gars 09-21-2005 01:44 PM

ammo isn't cheap tho rite?

SkinnyPupp 09-21-2005 02:23 PM

ammo is the most expensive part, but it's not that bad. Just take it easy on the ammo (which is hard to do, I know :lol)

TSR001 09-21-2005 06:53 PM

not too bad, $7.99 a box of 50 rds reloaded 9mm
.45ACP is $10.99 a box tho....

.22LR is a bargain ! $5.99 for a box of 100s

there's 2 ppl suicided in Wade's in 2000' tho, one in the bathroom and one in the range. so they no longer rent guns to single person, you gotta go with a friend.

gars 09-21-2005 09:27 PM

screw 22's... haha.... rimfire just doesn't cut it for me...

but ya... i dunno about down there... but the cheapest centerfire stuff here is the .223 Rem, (not counting that surplus czech 7.62 stuff), and that's about 50 cents a round here..

i wonder how much it would cost down there?

Ulic Qel-Droma 09-22-2005 12:21 AM

if u buy 1000 .223 remington it works out to be around 30C per round.

I'm heading down to Seattle for two days, one night with my gf next week. Will be staying overnight in the downtown Sheraton. We both want to try out shooting for the first time. The Wade's shooting range is located in Bellevue, which I don't think would work out time wise. (doing other stuff like shopping, etc in Seattle and Lynnwood).

Are there any other shooting ranges along the I-5 highway between the border and Seattle? A range that allows beginners, rents different sorts of firearms, and offers a beginner tutorial?

Also, how long would a typical shooting session take? Including beginner tutorial, two people shooting in one lane, 100-150 rounds each or however much beginners normally shoot. I'm guessing around 2-3 hours?

freakshow 01-17-2008 11:08 AM

try this place:

KaOsTiK 01-17-2008 12:09 PM

+1 for wade's gun range in bellevue

johny 01-17-2008 03:27 PM

this place just opened up in poco

http://www.dvcindoorrange.ca/

indoor range with rentals etc. I think it's cheaper on sundays.

Hondaracer 01-17-2008 03:33 PM

do any of these places rent people with full liscence and carriers permit a diff selection of rentals? with indoor ranges i'm sure there's nothing big enough to suit my fancy..

jlo mein 01-18-2008 03:26 AM

I cleared out a day to visit Bellevue to check out Wade's. Seems like too fun/cheap a place to pass up. I did have a couple questions. Are eye and ear protection provided with rental? Is there anything I should be aware of for visitng a shooting range for the first time?
