You might not get 'bored' of the 9mm, but it's always nice to have some variety; at the very least, you'll wanna try out a .45 as well.
If you're going with other people, just get a variety, and you can shoot each other's guns.

A few questions:
Do I need a gun license to shoot in a range?
How much do bullets generally cost (for say... a 9mm handgun)
It says on Wade's website that to rent a gun I need to a)bring my own gun, or b) have someone with me... does that someone need to own a gun?

TIA!

No
35+ cents for fmj. JHP will run you a buck each.
Why don't you head to poco and ask people if you can shoot their guns.

twitchyzero 07-27-2010 04:29 PM

so how long would it take a newbie to get through 50 rounds? 15 minutes?

2damaxmr2 07-27-2010 06:02 PM

It took my gf less than 5 mins to empty 5 magazines (50rds). So probably less than 5mins.

Vansterdam 07-27-2010 07:10 PM

AhXian 07-27-2010 10:38 PM

kiwee 09-19-2014 12:45 PM

Sorry to bring an old thread up...but does anyone know where people can bring their own rifle in to shoot? Preferably weekends or open late. Thanks!

No Centerfire ammo, but rimfire ammo is acceptable. If you have a .22, you're more than welcome there.

shotgun's allowed too....atleast they were a couple years ago, including target shot which surprised me

SolidPenguin 09-22-2014 11:16 PM

Shotguns are allowed, as long as its not steel shot. Anything lead is good to go

pb.kidz 09-23-2014 12:29 AM

ahh i miss shooting, hoping to pick up an AR-15 for christmas

RickyTan3 10-05-2014 05:45 PM

Depends on what your looking for and where your located...
I got to international shooting supplies in surrey or Reliable gun in Vancouver

RickyTan3 10-05-2014 11:42 PM

Vancouver.

I am looking at DVC or Coquitlam Club

DVC hours are decent because sometimes I work late.

However Coquitlam Club does have summer hours when weather is better and I heard the place has a more relax atmosphere and good safety protocol

SkunkWorks 10-06-2014 09:24 AM

Ricky Tan?

I thought they did background checks before issuing your PAL... :suspicious:

CRS 10-06-2014 12:13 PM

I would suggest the exchange on CanadianGunNutz for your first as you can find pretty much anything and you'll be getting it at a cheaper cost.

Again with all internet transactions, just follow your instinct and common sense. I've dealt with many members there before and they have all been positive. Make sure to look at their feedback!
