Got mine couple years ago but it didnt hurt so much. It only like a fraction of a second of pain if that but a cute girl at the tattoo palor did it so i was pretty distracted with other things. 
I know some other friends who had them and some them had gotten them infected. So be sure to follow the cleaning instructions provided by the peircer or your nipple will look nasty.

I had one of mine peirced 3 years ago and you can tug on it, twist it (not recommended), whatever -- no problems.
When I got it peirced, it burned with intense pain and only hurt for the first night. had no problems after that.

didnt hurt too much... the needle piercing didn't nearly hurt as much as the clamp.
u just gotta grind your teeth and take it.... its not like the worst pain ever, its just like being pinched. thats all.
my advice:
dont get a ring first. get a barbel. i learnt this the hard way. when u walk, the ring flops - that hurts
