^ Nice I had some visitors in my backyard yesterday morning as well. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7196/6...292fde9433.jpg 4 of these showed up yesterday. They're been flying in and out of the birdhouses that are scattered throughout my property. I think they might be breeding? |

couple more. i thought the Finch shot was a bit comical: http://www.epicdevelopements.com/wp-.../finchhead.jpg and a Flicker: http://www.epicdevelopements.com/wp-...lickerwire.jpg both shots take with my f/5.6 400mm with Canon's 1.4x III Extender |
saw this soggy little ball of "fur" today. the sex of this species is distinguished by the eyes! cool! http://www.epicdevelopements.com/wp-...03/tittwig.jpg |
i don't know about this one, however he's a tricky bastard to capture! http://www.epicdevelopements.com/wp-...03/hfinch1.jpg also, this is an "Oregon" Dark-eyed Junco(male). super active birds: http://www.epicdevelopements.com/wp-...regonJunco.jpg |

Flicker mania! lol http://www.epicdevelopements.com/wp-...3/flicker5.jpg i guess this bird below, with duller features , is the mate to the male above: http://www.epicdevelopements.com/wp-...3/flicker6.jpg |
Sweet snaps there NVM! You have a nice setup in your backyard! I like the pic's that you post without the feeders in the pictures the best! Thanks for posting! I wish i lived outside of the city some more so i could set something like this up in my backyard! You must have a decent backyard! Where about's do you live that you can setup feeders and get some decent action? |
i'm way up in North Van, huge yard. with the weather being shit and my knee issue, my backyard is merely a diversion until i'm back out there in the wild. couple weeks to go i figure. thanks for the comments, guys. |
Argh, can't get to work. Will post stuff later. |
another Pine Siskin. i'll be glad when they go. all they do is eat eat eat! http://www.epicdevelopements.com/wp-...03/siskin2.jpg and, i'm going to add this too, the very last shot i took today. love the light lasting longer, finally! http://www.epicdevelopements.com/wp-...egonJunco2.jpg |
