Jermyzy 04-24-2012 10:32 AM

AAPL oversold? Good time to add some more shares to my portfolio? I was suppposed to buy in at $370 a few months ago and missed out...$550 another good entry point?

jasonturbo 04-24-2012 11:28 AM

Wow ROG... 1.06$. I was trading this between the 1.80-2.20 range last month lol PX also just taking a beating.... Yikes for jr miners and exploration companies.

f. 04-24-2012 11:35 AM

Bought into URRE on Monday, it's still a cheap buy at .83!

jasonturbo 04-24-2012 11:38 AM

Oopsie double post!

Jermyzy 04-24-2012 11:50 AM

Ahhh...added more AAPL at 559. I should really just stick my solid dividend paying stocks, instead of buying commodities and tech stocks :(

I bought some AAPL at same price :). JAN '13 Leaps though. Let's hope they beat with great china sales.

AAPL Reports Q2 EPS $12.3 vs $10.06 Est; Revenues $39.2B vs $36.81B Est

(Apple reports Q2 results; says sold 11.8 million Ipads during the quarter, a 151 percent unit increase over the year-ago quarter)
(35.1 million iPhones in the quarter)

Guidance is what everybody is waiting for though.

Jermyzy 04-24-2012 12:36 PM

After hours up to 590 :)

Carl Johnson 04-24-2012 12:42 PM

congrats to all longs.

shawnly1000 04-24-2012 12:47 PM

LOL it's back to where it was last week

Carl Johnson 04-24-2012 12:49 PM

Weak hands get shaken out at the end of a correction. Qualcomm is a good play on Apple if you don't feel like chasing a 40 points gap.

will068 04-24-2012 01:02 PM

yay AAPL :fullofwin:

MisterMu 04-24-2012 02:06 PM

jasonturbo 04-25-2012 06:58 AM

Mmmmmm green... Finally.

CLL not so green though lol :( might even buy some if it keeps dropping!

Edit: I couldnt help but notice that virtually every single major gold miner is near it's 52 week low...

TouringTeg 04-25-2012 07:39 AM

^^ Wow people are bearish on mining right now. YNG down 8.62% at the moment

I want to buy more...

They have been around a long time and were making money back when gold was half the price it is today.. so I don't feel that there is significant risk associated with them... plus as a distress sale I cant imagine them selling the company for less than 300M anyway, so you would still walk away with .30/share... and that's probably a low ball.

Mehhh... just wait and see I guess, avg. on YNG is .33

lowside67 04-25-2012 07:52 AM

YNG is also getting hammered based on the abundance of rumours surrounding the possibility of a reverse-split. In theory, I don't see how that should affect a company's valuation at all, but the theory seems to be that this is bad news for the shareholders. However, as the share heads towards $0.25, maybe this is good news. I can't see institutional holders owning a penny stock but perhaps at a $2.50 valuation, it looks less bad on their books. Ugly for sure.

Just listened to the podcast for Q4 2011, it's pretty clear that the changes made between 2010 and 2011 have been very effective and looking forward in 2012 they are suggesting the company should begin seeing positive cash flow in Q2/Q3 of the year.

Loss in Q4 of 2010 was 49M, loss in Q4 of 2011 was only 7M, and there was significant capital expenditure during this period.

All of the major expenses are behind them now, so it would seem that margins should greatly improve from the Q4 of 2011, additionally they are no longer processing Newmont ore, and have for the last two weeks averaged 3700T/day and have reached as high as 4300T/day on multiple occasions. Assuming there is no more unplanned service interuptions, this would suggest they should easily be able to reach the target of 150K oz this year based on the avg. g/T.

Sounded very positive to me, interesting to see how the strategic review plays out, though I am not expecting much from it.

EDIT: I would like to say I believe that Ketza River will be sold provided they can get a decent dollar for it, I can't see them being able to cover the capital costs of development without assuming a lot of debt.. and I don't think they will go that route.

highfive 04-25-2012 10:47 AM

Fuck you Ben! "remains prepared to use balance sheet tools"....lol c'monnnnnn
