Sort of off topic but I read that a new 24 hour Punjabi channel is launching across Canada next month. The site with the info is channelpunjabi.ca and the channel is called "PTC Punjabi" but the word is they have very deep pockets and they're going to produce a lot of local content including a local music show, sort of like MTV live, that will showcase local Punjabi artist and DJs and they're also going sponsor local events like the A-Town parties.

I think it's about time we got a real 24 hour Punjabi channel compared to the ETC Punjabi crap that’s available now which has no local content whatsoever. And of course the other big thing this channel will offer is it will give local artist and DJs a chance to show their stuff on TV. Red FM already has the radio covered but TV is where it's at.
