freesole, that's some next level animal shot right there. Love the context and the subject isolation. Usually not a fan of the blurry foreground but that bokeh and noise are so pretty, like film grain. Great stuff. Which telephoto?

Or did you just ninja up to that deer? When I got a shot of a deer, that bastard just stared right at me and that didn't make for a particularly interesting shot.

Thanks Ronin! I was just lucky as the deer were not afraid or even distracted by people at all. They just saw us and kept wandering around as if we weren't there which helped the shot. I shot with this an 85mm f1.4 and then cropped the hell out of it lol.

They are hard creatures to capture though - so fucking alert!

tip for anyone shooting deers, esepcially white tails

if you spook them or they go to run, Whistle at them

90% of the time they will turn back and look

HDR? Just guessing since the water isn't totally smooth. The serious difference in color saturation is throwing me off a bit.

Nice clouds out but the out of focus foreground ruins it for me. Some is okay but there isn't enough for me to look at here.

I see some people to the left of the frame. Have them in focus with a wide, sprawling landscape behind them.
