so....anybody catch the last episode with Mxylpltk (or however it's spelled.)
It's kinda cool how they're introducing a lot of the other characters in Superman's world, like the Flash, Lois, Mxylplttk, et cetera, but they sure are rushing it. They aren't providing any sort of background or character introduction; like they show up and jump right in to the climax of the story, but no introduction.

Anyway, at the end of the episode, anybody know what Lex ment "see, I told you you aren't alone" to Mxylpltk, and what was up with that little smirk Lex gave Clarke at the end. Is Lex finally beginning to take some serious control like Lionel had been?

esp when he said he would win the bet when it came to clark kent..

man it'd be so cool to have Mxylpyictc's powers..
and i never knew he was from superman's world..thats pretty neat..i guess itd be better if they spread story out longer to maybe 2 episodes but then that would just be a waste of time..and there are only so many episodes in a season..

The flash is WAY faster than superman. Did you see at the end of the Flash episode when they were racing, the Flash turned around, waved (while running backwards) and then just took off like 10 times faster than what they were already going. He decimated Clarke.

I have a few issues of the Flash comic, where he goes faster than the speed of light. He dies, but he said that he always had the ability to go how fast he wants, no limits. Superman just runs fast...he cant even run over water! pfff.

This was in the comics remember, not the show. I hope I'm not confusing anybody.

Anyway, as far as I can remember (I read them awhile ago and now they're all stored in a box back home.) he went too fast for too long and was dissolved into time or something like that. He knew it was going to happen, but he did it to save his girlfriend or something.

The "kid flash" episode was my favorite. The ending where he outruns clark was simply awsome.

The original Flash (Barry Allen) died trying to save the DC Universe in the Crisis of Infinite Earth's saga in the 80's. Basically he ran himself so fast that he aged to death in a matter of seconds in an attempt to defeat the Monitor. This was when DC was trying to realign the DC universe of characters and eliminated a lot of the "other worlds" time lines. Since the Flash (and anyone that is a speedster, like Bart Allen in Smallville, who isn't the flash, but is the nephew of the Flash and is called Impulse) takes energy directly from "the speed force" which allows him to go as fast as he wants to go, which isn't bound by conventional physics.
