what i think is lex luther paid that doctor to tell lana she was pregnant, I don't think there was a baby to begin with
thats why when the doctor was like, i want a million dollars, or im going to tell lana what you did
what could the doctor secret be, that would make lex kill him?
the doctor telling lana she never had a baby and that lex paid him off would make lana say hell no at the wedding
then when the time was right, when she sustained injuries, he told her she lost the baby, that way lex wouldn't be busted, and the doctor is dead, so no one would ever know what really happened
the luthers are full of shit anyways so its a possibility

Didn't they determined Lex to be a meteor freak a few seasons ago? A few seasons ago Lex said he hasn't been sick since he was 10 years old which also causes his baldness.
Why didn't Chloe's mom just grab Lex and be like "Go fuck yourself?"

*Spoiler below*
If you read the fan forums, Lana will be killed off in a few episodes!!! This is will make Clark even more angry at Lex and their friendship will end indenfinately!!! Lex will come back for until the show ends. . . it would be silly for producers not to sign Lex all the way through because they need to end the series with him in it. As we all know, Lex plays a big role later on in the Superman movies so there's no way they can kill him off in Smallville.
