i guess what a few people in this thread need to realize is that smallville is loosely based on the superman comics and as such, so are other various characters and aspects of the show (ie. names of the kryptonians and the martian manhunter). we should also be seeing more of the comics in smallville since this is supposed to be the last season..i could be wrong on that though, but i remember reading it somewhere

They got brand new writers and producers for this season.

I was totally caught by surprise that Michael Rosenbaum and Kristen Kreuk were both not in the opening credits, and that Lex isnt making ANY appearance in season 8.

Definately hope it gets better, quick.

^^ Rosenbaum is off the show, he's done for good. Didnt sign the new contract and called it quits.. Im not sure about kreuk though, she doesnt have anything else going for her, so i dont see why she wouldnt come back, unless they wanna push the Lois + Clark story..

from what i read in the vancouver sun last week, kristen kreuk is not coming back either.

i forget the actor's name, but the one playing the green arrow will become a regular.

there was also mention that CW's failure lack of promotion of this season compared to previous years is an indication that this may the the final run :(

I love Smallville and I believe it's gonna turn out okay this season...The 1st episode of the season was kinda wtf to me...Lol...

Last episode was pretty good, but the episode before with the electric shock testing on "meant-to-be" couples was really something.
The best scenes are when Lois and Clark get together, you can really get some good laughs from them, they're sweet.
