Shop for Fender Rolling

Who's a good and affordable shop to go to for some fender rolling? Need to get the rears rolled to make way for some aftermarket wheels. High stock offset FTL.

The_admiral 10-15-2007 06:16 PM

i am in the market for rolling too. Got a quote for $500 including repaint the fender, as the body shop said the area may crack after rolling.
maybe we can get a group rate?

popnGEAR 10-15-2007 06:23 PM

i'd rather a shop just do it well and not crack the paint....did they say they would use a heat gun?

GordonTse 10-15-2007 07:13 PM

i heard Keeps Lab on Mitchell Island is good. iunno if they still in business.. can't seem to find anything on google..

The_admiral 10-15-2007 07:33 PM

no they use a bat, and the only shop that uses a machine is keeps lab. Even they use a machine, there's a chance that the paint will crack.

Anyway keeps lab charges about $90 per fender....not sure about their quality

SR autogroup has a fender rolling machine

Keep is an awesome place--they're my preferred mechanic (When I'm not rockin' the loser cruiser) and they did Orgasm_Donor's fenders--and did a bang up job.

The paint did crack a tiny bit on the underside but I just spread on a little primer to protect the metal. You can't see it from the outside.

popnGEAR 10-15-2007 09:10 PM

What's Keep's Lab's number/address?

orgasm_donor 10-15-2007 09:12 PM

For that price you can buy a fender roller,do your fenders and make your money back by rolling peoples fenders for a $150 for all four.

insomniacRA 01-27-2008 08:14 PM

bumping an old thread cause i dont want to make another one

how much does it cost to roll the fenders anyway? if just for the rears

thanks

woozzle 01-27-2008 09:05 PM

90 per fender at Keeps

jlenko 01-27-2008 09:12 PM

There's a guy I know who just bought one for himself... once he rolls his, he's planning on renting it out to people. He was thinking of $300 deposit and $100 for the rental of the roller and heat gun. This is for the pro Eastman roller tool, not some cheap piece of crap.

I'm going to rent it from him.. I'll let you know how it goes.

TouringTeg 01-28-2008 05:51 PM

I have an Eastwood fender roller that I rent out to people in Victoria. Gotta come to the island to do it though. I've been renting it for years and it works great.

Shogun 07-21-2008 06:45 PM

what happened to KeepLabs?? their website is down, and I cant google them either. Are they still around?
Any other places for fender rolling?

Death2Theft 07-21-2008 06:48 PM

IF this tool bolts onto your rotor enjoy a warped rotor and f'd up suspension components.

TouringTeg 07-22-2008 03:04 AM

Yes it mounts to your rotor by using your lug nuts and supplied washers. I've never had a problem with warped rotors or anything after rolling a half dozen of my own cars.
