That's the league where the BEST player in the entire league can't even make the 3rd string on the WORSE team in the NFL.

Printers physically has all the tools to be a QB there unfortunately he can't read a defense to save his life. He also was not an NFL draft pick so it doesn't matter what he did down there he had no chance, he was one of there best QB's in preseason not that I'm a Printers fan.

In the NFL you don't have to be a good player to get playing time you just have to be a high draft pick because they'll give you chance after chance no matter how bad you perform. The exact opposite can be said about none draft picks, you pretty much have to rip the league apart to have any chance at playing and for the QB position everything is magnified.

Your not a fan thats great, good for you buddy top notch. I mean it, kudo's to you for being such a hardcore none fan excellent. Like I said to each is own.

How about Ricky Williams coming to the CFL he should have destroyed these inferior players but last time I checked he couldn't do shit here. Then you have that Ex Rider Kenton Keith who is getting plenty of playtime on the Colts this year. It is what it is, like I said I'm a fan of both leagues.

kudo's to you for being such a hardcore non-soccer fan.

Beckham is coming to town. I guess its time for you to schedule that root canal.

The difference is I don't go into the World Cup thread and start raging about what a horrible sport it is even if thats the truth.

College Football is fucking awesome. The agility and passion is there and there are so many more rivalries. Even Arena Football is fun to watch.

Those guys are hungry for it and there are no "superstar prima-donnas"

the baltimore CFLers had huge attendance every game, showing that a canadian game COULD survive in the US. 1/6 teams ain't bad :P

but you can say the same about NBA expansion into canada, and how the NBA sucks -- only 1 team survived. but that's a retarded argument.

if you like the nfl, watch that. if you like the cfl, go out to support your home team.

I wanna see the green sea VS orange sea

But it looks like it is going to be the

NAVY BLUE SEA and ORANGE SEA....

awwww... green sea is sooo fun to watch though especially when their team is losing.

carisear 11-05-2007 09:44 PM

i was at the game saturday.. ugh, what a BORING game. penalty after penalty, and it took FOREVER to finish. at least we broke our winning record!

preluded 11-05-2007 11:33 PM

im going to the Lions western final playoffs game!! woot!

BUT TO BE HONEST, NFL is 100x better than CFL.

if only they would expand and play some exhibition/pre season games up here.

Any of you CFL fans concerned the league might die in a few years given that the NFL has stated that a NFL team in Toronto is in their sights? The CFL will be losing pretty much all of their major corporate sponsorship money to the NFL when that happens.

I'm a fan of football, so I can watch any of it, College, CFL, NFL. If the NFL comes up into canada, CFL is basically gone (i dont think they will expand up here though, maybe just preseason games)

But I agree with the retarded/special olympics comment- its really harsh and funny thing to say. but its soo true.
If Harrison/Moss/TO etc can run before the snap. lol, game over.
With the huge size i can see like D.Hester getting 2 touchdown kick returns every game. if they had good blockers- LT and A.Peterson would tear it up. The CFL is such a pass-oriented game that theres no good run blockers.

MG1 11-06-2007 06:09 AM

I prefer CFL over NFL. The players may not be up to NFL standards, but who cares? The Canadian game is better.

Welp, heres hoping the Riders get a win on Sunday so they can meet the Lions on the 18th.

carisear 11-07-2007 07:24 AM

True but if the Riders are there all the pressure is on the Lions IMO. They are expected to win and if they start JJ and don't all the same people that bitched out Wally for not starting Casey a few years back in the Grey Cup are going to be crying that he should have went with Dickenson. If for some reason he went Dickenson and lost the exact same people will be crying he should have went with JJ. The only scenario that won't have controversy is a Lions win in both the WCF and the GC.

Now this Sunday all the pressure is on the Riders as they are expected to win, especially at home.

I think the worst thing for m being a CFL fan for as long as I could walk is my moving day is on Grey Cup day, nice planning me............

carisear 11-07-2007 03:05 PM

hah! move everything BUT your TV for 3 hours :P

and yeah, i agree, if we don't win, everyone will bitch at wally for not playing xxxxxxxx qb. i know a couple years ago, i was one of them bitching saying they should've played printers. afterall, he was the freaking PLAYER OF THE YEAR.

i actually think DD should retire -- head injuries aren't something to take lightly.

i still feel bad for the ti-cats -- that team just perpetually sucks, no matter who they have.

Gumby 11-07-2007 03:12 PM

Bottom line is, play the QB that's hot.

If I remember correctly, the year Wally played Dickenson in the final and lost, Printers was the one who carried the team most of the year.

If I was the guy that took you to the finals and then you play your supposed #1 QB just because he's recovered from his injury, I'd be pissed too!

But this year's tough - all of our QBs played well.

carisear 11-11-2007 05:32 PM

good eastern semi today -- winning with 0:00 on the clock.

riders dominated the stampeders. our game next week against them will be tight. we need to blitz the hell outta joseph and not let him run at all in order to neutralize him.

AppleSugary 11-12-2007 10:08 AM

better buy the tickets before roughriders will take them. hahaha

Manh... I was so nervous about bluebombers yesterday.

BLUEBOMBERS vs LIONS.

MG1 11-12-2007 11:20 AM

If we're going to get knocked out of the playoffs, it's better to lose to the Green. Those fans need something to cheer about. Long time coming. 1989, plus Saskatchewan has only won the Grey Cup twice in the history of the CFL.

synchrocone 07-10-2009 05:36 PM
