Yup, Lions are on fire. Playing a 3rd string QB and still getting the wins, now that's what you call a good team. And I love how the Lions are the bad boys of the CFL.

Sooo true. I was quite worried in the beginning how everybody was getting injured and now they are pulling it off.

Guess he did not really help the team, eh?
I also remember when all the Asian girls were in the pub were cheering for him. Hahahah.

You can't say the same about Rider fans, Riders have been bad for so long but they just keep coming out, real fans.

I really tried to watch the CFL, but I just can't do it. Its like watching retarded or special olympics football with the giant field, oversized football and horrible tackling. I find it more enjoyable to drive the 3hrs to catch a Seahawks game or even fly the 3hrs to catch a Niners or Raiders game.
Any of you CFL fans concerned the league might die in a few years given that the NFL has stated that a NFL team in Toronto is in their sights? The CFL will be losing pretty much all of their major corporate sponsorship money to the NFL when that happens.

The CFL will be losing pretty much all of their major corporate sponsorship money to the NFL when that happens. | You summarized how I feel about Basketball, Baseball and especially Soccer. Most of the time I'd rather go to work then watch any of these and I'd rather go to the dentist then be forced to endure soccer.
I don't try and compare the CFL to the NFL I'm a fan of both. Obviously the players in the NFL are better but IMO only like 5% of the players over there are leaps and bounds better. The rest of the players could be interchangeable from both leagues.
My dad took me to a lot of CFL games as a kid when we had season tickets forever so that alone has made me a life long fan. To each is own though, different strokes for different folks.

i'm a CFL fan -- it's more exciting. and i pretty much agree with quasi -- only the top 5% of players are better than CFL top players, but otherwise, they can be interchangeable.
hamilton actually has the best fans -- look how shitty their team is, yet they STILL show up rain or shine.
and hahah, i remember going to games with like 16,000 attendance. it was SAD.

You can't say the same about Rider fans, Riders have been bad for so long but they just keep coming out, real fans. | I went to the Riders v. Lions game in Regina like 3-4 weeks ago, and I have to agree, you guys have the best and realest fans.
There were like 20 of us BC people there and while one or two of the Riders fans were being asses and picking fights... most of them were really respectful and we had a good time beaking each other. When BC pulled it off in the last minute, a couple of guys just congratulated me for a godo game after the BC fans rubbed it in their faces.
Y'all are still gonna lose to us though but I got respect for the Roughriders.

The NFL isn't moving to Canada anytime soon. The CFL is more popular in Canada now than it's been in the last few years. Salaries are going up, more fans are going to the game, viewership is up and for the most part the game is exciting to watch. For example the Toronto vs. Montreal game last week or something drew almost 700,000 viewers on TSN. The NFL game the day after drew about 150,000. I enjoy watching the CFL over the NFL unless its the Cowboys playing.

The Canadian Football League. hahhahaahaha.
That's the league where the BEST player in the entire league can't even make the 3rd string on the WORSE team in the NFL.
All the CFL teams where everybody says they are they best fans, all have something in common.....
None of those cities have a NHL, NBA, or MLB franchise.
Of course they are going to be great CFL fans. What else do they have to cheer for?

More proof why the CFL licks balls...
Baltimore Stallions
Birmingham Barracudas
Las Vegas Posse
Sacramento Gold Miners
San Antonio Texans
Shreveport Pirates
Football teams based in the heartland of Football america. Yet college games had more fans and didn't have to give away free tickets in order to fill stadium seats.

I've grown up watching the Lions so I will always be a CFL fan. I used to have seasons tickets to the Lions, but now I just go to the games whenever I have free time.
The Grey Cup this year will be the Lions and the Bombers without a doubt.
As for Saskatchewan, I have to admit they do have the best fans. Where else can you have a team that loses without fail year in and year out and still have fans that think they actually have a chance at winning the Grey Cup. I'm convinced that the only thing that keeps the fans coming to the Rider games is the cheap Pilsner at Taylor Field. I went to quite a few Rider games during my 6 months in Regina and me and my buddies had a wicked time at all of them. Especially the game that a few of us went in BC Lions jersies and were sitting in the middle of a sea of green in bright orange when the Lions came to town.
