Kitchen in the basement is almost finished, new sink, ceramic cooktop, walls, ceiling, tiled countertop/backsplash, used (but new to me) kitchen cupboards...Still have to do the floor and some other small things...then on to the basement bathroom and the laundry room.

I am modding a house into my lifestyle November 14th, 4 level split, built in 2006 but never been lived in. Brand new everything with all appliances but washer and dryer (-$1700) from my money. Fireplace, master ensuite with tub and shower separated, huge tv room and massive open kitchen, living room and dining room with vaulted ceilings. Basement and back yard need more modding, which basement has rough in for bathroom and good space for a bedroom and tons of room for storage. Back needs deck, lawn and more parking (double car garage is full with both my cars and then the gf's out front and buddy's in the back). Can't wait to make it mine!

RRxtar 10-28-2008 09:01 PM

right on man. congrats

Finally installed jeffh's dishwasher last night, after using it as an island for a few months. Nobody died, and only a small injury to report of.

just realized today, after a year and a half, that the stove range fan vent was closed. a little hammering and we got er open.

this comes 6 months after we discovered the flapper valve in the main bathroom vent was stuck shut aswell and needed to be hammered open.

im starting to wonder where the dryer vents to

jeffh 04-24-2009 12:01 PM

lol i should probably check all my vents as well, you guys arent having any luck with yours

Just modded renovations to the basement, built a bedroom and bathroom, gott bamboo hardwood flooring. Also modded a pool table in my entertainment room and just added satellite TV today with a PVR, much better for watching the games and less money spent on Blu Rays with HD and PVR capabilities. And got a ridiculous surround sound system a couple months ago. Got pictures and plants to spruce up the place as well recently, gotta love Ikea. Next up is modding my back yard to fit my vehicles...

SmokeyTheBandit 04-26-2009 07:04 AM
