ok this thread makes me worry about my car. if i my lude was lowered with just ebachs to the point where im 3 inches off the ground. How would i know whether or not it was done properly with the camber kit with just the naked eye( in the most simplest way). Btw i bought it like that. With what i can see is that my wheels do not look like its on any kind of angle, so?? |
Any car lowered more than 1 inch will require some substantial changes with its alignment. Can you see by eye? With the 3 inches you are dropped, maybe but maybe not. I'm not much of an alignment guru so perhaps someone else can chime in about looking @ the camber plate's etched in camber numbers for your lude. You can also tell if there is excessive uneven wear on the tire tread. |
i'll try n check |
preludes dont have camber adjustments. they have toe adjustments though. what eibachs did you get? prokit? sportline? prokit should be ok, BUT its always reconmended to check ur alignment if you alter or have played with any suspension components. sportline, id get it checked anyways. if i remember correctly, the sportlines lower about 1.8in from stock, if using the stock shock, and not some aftermarket one that actually lowers it a little further (koni's for ex) i think optimal (factory spec) is set around -0.9 degree camber or something, the lowering will probably push u to just shy of -2 degree camber. the mechanic can adjust the toe a little bit to compensate for the camber. |
thanks for reply, anyways im not sure about what kind of eibachs they are but i did a little research. The sportline springs has a bigger drop than the prokits so since my drop seems pretty low compared to a stock, im assuming i have the sportlines. Any ways im gona go check it out and see which ones i have. Prokit is black in color and sportline is red so i hope that can help me. lol |
the shop that i bought my tires from will do it for free |
This thread is full of people talking but I still haven't seen anyone post the name of a good shop that is able to take tires of wheels and at what price. maybe I missed it because I didn't feel like reading through all the arguments, but can someone please name a good shop that will do this for the OP's sake... mine too, I'm looking to swap my tires. thank you |

^ since when do 5 thousand dollar HRE wheels fall under the ricer category? but wow! random assholes on forums with equally assholeish assumptions never cease to amaze me.. and you're accusing ME of jumping into this post and being a dillweed after all your responses in here ? you should be doing standup man, you're fuckin hilarious |

anyways just use a torque wrench, jack up your car and rotate... |
lol, where is this guy now ? full page of his crazy long replies, and in the end he himself provides me the tools to fuckin own him in 2 short paragraphs. Now he ain't sayin shit... for me personally, I wasnt even talking about rotating wheels, I was talking about rotating TIRES, meaning taking my tires off my wheels. I can't rotate my wheels since I have a staggered setup, 10 wide up front, and 12 wide in the rear.. that's some gangster shit someone with an 87 hatchback accord would never understand. But nonetheless he still proceeded to call me a fucktard in all his ignorant forum arrogance. |
I refuse to engage in a battle of wits with a half-armed man. |
^ you my friend..... are nothing short of special, I salute you. PS: lol, then you just got pwned by a half armed dude..... geez if I'm half armed in this discussion.... then you're this fuckin guy http://www.planet-familyguy.com/pfg/...ers/pirate.jpg |
well I'm putting tein's on later this month where should I take it to for an alignment? |
SO, i actually went to all different places and here are the following charges for just bolting on the wheels. i didn't want to spend 30 mins jacking my car up and risking my life with the spare jack and a torque wrench Volco = $10 /wheel (i walked away) Kal tire = $15 /wheel (i laughed and left) aj-r = $10 /wheel with appointment (........ i walked away) Big O tires = $5 /wheel (i went there) Toyota dealership = $10 for all 4 (i love them and ask them to swap my winter/summers around during service) Advance = $5 /wheel (so same as BigO) |
I would of went to advance just cause they are AWESOME! and have really good customer service |
