The Dodge Viper was designed by Japanese guy.

Would that make Viper a non-American?

So should we believe someone who doesn't even know the proper name of the car (considering it does not have Skyline badge anywhere on the car) to test a car and tell which is better?

GTR vs 911 GT3 vs M3

EDIT: I just watched the Part2, idiot didn't even know there was the "M dynamic mode" to use to get a better launch.

This test driver does look like he can drive around the track though (he's a far better driver than the original video)

IIRC, the 2nd gen Viper was designed by a non-American.

The first gen design, I forgot. I think it was American

In japan you can choose to have the skyline sign up as an option.

GTR is faster in many tests simply because it is a easier car to drive than 911 turbo for an average driver. It is easier to go fast, but it does not make it a better and more enjoyable car overall. It actually becomes quite boring after a while.

PS: I do have a lot of respect to GTR. However, I would choose a used 911 turbo over a brand new GTR with high mark-ups for similar price .

Also, GTR would be a much more desirable car if it comes with 6-speed manual, better brakes and 200kgs lighter.

So where exactly are you saying the 3rd gen rx-7 steals anything from? As far as I can tell no one else has a TT rotary and the body is timeless.

It's not national pride, it's the way of the world. Belgian chocolates, German weapons, American apple pie, Canadian Maple Syrup, Swiss watches, Cayman banks, etc etc. Years of differing cultures and policies have created atmospheres more conducive to innovation than others. Larry Shinoda, the creator of the Boss Mustangs in the late 60s was a Japanese-born American. The guy that made the Enzo is a Japanese-born, western-educated Italian. The Japanese culture simply is not conducive to the out-of-the-box thinking that innovation requires.

Shelby was the reason the viper started.
