That being said http://www.cadtutor.net/ first hit in google. |
I use Autocad when I need to draw something that requires measurements or scale. Even though I have used it since the version 4 for DOS days, I still probably only know how to use 25% of its features. I use Visio for everything else. |

WAAAA 12k a seat!!! haha wow now that program must be made of solid gold! or it must do all the work for you! :p |
Been using Autocad for 17 years, been in the industry since early 90's. God I'm old! From release 10 all the way up to 2008. Also have used Vectorworks, Generic CADD, and have been using Solidworks for at least 5 years. And no, I would not say Solidworks pwns all...especially the 64 bit version of SW2008. Crashes quite a bit, servicepacks every couple weeks. Even our re-seller is sick of us complaining. hahaha.. Anyways, if you're good with ACAD, I may even have some work for you (if you're interested). |
I used to be a draftsperson. Have used Autocad versions r12 to 2002 or 2004 |

I'm actually in design, but of course CAD is mandatory. Barely had any advance AutoCAD training although I'm constantly using the basics for planning purposes. I am looking into probably self-learning more stuff from books or something, like 3D. I don't know if it was just me but the AutoCAD course progressed a bit too slow for what it's worth. I might not need that much computer background for the design field, but I'm much more of a computer guy than a drawing artist. :D I want to be able have all the skills required to do the jobs efficiently but not waste time to learn 20 softwares while I just need a few good ones. So Inventor is WAY BETTER than any other CAD softwares, and/or 3D? It would be great to just know one that does all the jobs efficiently and nicely! Quote:
Autodesk Inventor Professional 2008 - $7,945.00 (Looks like something NASA could use to design rockets and space station with. :p) http://store.autodesk.com/servlet/Co...uctID=80315400 |
