Umm, 'kay. Can you, uhm, grow some balls instead of, uhm, brown-nosing mods constantly? Kthxbye.
From observing various posts by you in the past, you do quite a bit of sucking up to mods. Can you post something more constructive than telling the users to 'grow some balls' or to use MSN, because honestly it's been said many times already. What if people want to be able to have a chat environment, without the usage of MSN? An example is me using it to chat during my criminology class. Do I want to have a 10 person chat on msn? I think not. </rant> |
Err. Okay. Let me clarify what you just said. This post [about the RS Chat] has NOTHING to do with my other posts. There's no reason why you should attack my personal interactions with Revscene's Moderators just because I'm trying to help out the greater good for Revscene. Secondly, this is an open forum to all users to state their opinion. If I want to say something short, such as "grow some balls", then I can. Sure, I'll get responses. If you were nice and asked me to be clear about it, then I would.
On second thought, utilizing online instant-messaging programs will enhance the communication between members. For a little history lesson for you kids, Revscene was designed by the
tuner for the turner, and from the 7 years through its existence, it grew into one large community of over 50,000 members. How was this possible? By incorporating lifestyle topics, users come to this website to share similar interests and hobbies. This is how Revscene expanded, not only by popularity, but also in market.
MSN is one dry instant messaging program. Although we may talk to friends and family about certain things or matters, It does not provide that same interaction like how we interact with Revscene's users on this board. Why is that? Most of our MSN users are, in fact, people who've we met directly, whom we have that personal relationship too. In comparison to Revscene, we know each other indirectly - by the internet. But the thing is, our interactions with each other here is much more different than our interactions with family and friends. It is because we share similar interests in lifestyles that cause us to partake in these open discussions.

Now let's compare MSN and that "RS Chatline". In MSN, we have an identity. We have an personal email account that allows us to sign in as one single identity. With the RS chatline, however, users from
anywhere can take that person's identity without others knowing. We aren't connected to our email, and we aren't connected to our Revscene. I've seen people in the past get blamed on, scapegoated, and/or penalized for something they have not done. Do you think Revscene should allow this? Imagine me coming into the RS Chatline as "xX_AlTeZzA_Xx" and start spaming random crap. Unfortunately the Mods can't ban you because they may not even know if that is you in the first place. Thus, their modding powers are
next to nothing. We don't want Revscene liable for what they didn't do, right? The only thing they can probably do is close the thread and take off that URL.
NOW LET ME SLEEEPP Blarrghh.
PS/Edit: Oh yeah what I meant by "grow some balls" is that we're not elementary school kids anymore. We're (mostly) grown up adults. If you're a grown up adult who imposes as little Asian girls, then shame on you. that's why I wrote that comment.
