I think he's commenting on this, that does sound like a long plane ride if it takes 4 days to get somewhere

that would be AWESOME if this is true. seems like the taxes+fees make up a good portion of the price you pay.

isn't that the going rate? i found a trip for 2 during new years, which is generally a little more expensive, for 1300 all in at the gran bahia principe. it's only 4.5, but according to trip advisor, it's 1/14.

http://www.aircanada.com/en/offers/a...cape_pass.html

There are quite a few flight passes too. Depending where you want to go.
I will be packing up the US Escape pass for 1k taxes in.
Allows me 2 trips to the U.S. and 1 trip to Hong Kong.

Copied from Redflags.

If you choose the cheapest escape pass which is $520+GST, you pay just $199 (no taxes) for the bonus pass, so a total of $520+GST($26) + $199 (no tax)= $745 RT to Hong Kong, Paris, London, Sao Paulo, Bogota or Lima from anywhere in Canada. Plus get 4 flights in Western Canada for free that you can take advantage of if you're in that area. That's a great deal!

There are absolutely NO other taxes/govt/fuel charges, $745 is the FINAL price you pay and you can select all your flights right after paying for the pass.
