| Buy brakes, free labour???
I passed by a shop a couple days ago that had a sign out saying "Buy Brakes, Free Labour". It was like a Midas or Quiet Brake and Muffler, or somewhere. Anyone ever encounter this and went along with it. I'm wondering if it's actually true.
I need to change my brakes tommorow.

Yeah man..Its like getting a free Plasma screen with every mattress. The brick gets a bulk deal on the tv's for next to nothing and adds the cost into your mattress.
So in the case of Midas or whatever they simply overcharge you so badly for the materials (Brakes) that the labor is included in the price. (aka Free) im not saying they wont do a good job, but thats how they can do it for "free"

any shop like lordco etc, or even brake shops.
Markup on raybestos shit is so expensive at shops it's discusting. 120$ for 2 rotors when they cost the shop 25$ each.

Edit: Also, a few years back (maybe 5 or so) rotors did cost the shop about $40 a piece. Even though the cost has gone down, there really isn't a good reason to lower the price (too much) that is charged.

Do you need a lot of special tools? My vehicle's a '95 nissan 200sx.
