I went to a Jack In The Box close to Seatac Airport and it wasn't anything special. Just tasted like any other fast food joint. The only good thing to come out of that visit was buying a Jack head that I can put on my car's antenna :D

I seem to recall no Carl's Jr Locations in the State of Washington... well on the I-5 Corridor anyways...had to drive to Portland to finally get one.

DragonChi 05-15-2008 07:35 PM

awesome thats 5mins from my house, and it's kinda fitting to have a good burger joint there but nothing will ever top the rodeo drive in

Stitch 05-27-2008 05:14 PM

Is the actual "restaurant" on 152nd/hwy 10 or just a sign? and any mention of ETA?? husband keeps raving about those $6 burgers, I wanna surprise him with one if it's already opened!

In the end I'd rather go to Vera's for a burger!!

Wednesday's Burger and TWO pints for 9.99 FTW!!

quasi 05-30-2008 02:08 PM

Sweet, it's right on my way home from work couldn't be a better location. They're putting a Vera's 5 mins from my work as well so looks like I'll be putting on a few more pounds this summer.

I got to agree to disagree. Rodeo made horrible burgers IMO.

murd0c 06-02-2008 05:10 PM

does anyone know when it's opening?

I told a friend about this who claimed he drove by the sign and it said 2009.

That's a blatant lie! When I was in Chicago on business, I made it a point to drive out to a White Castle to try it. My experience was akin to a teenage girl and her bf's first sexual experience, mouth-watering anticipation followed by disappointment. I'm a huge burger fan and those were just disgusting. A couple of grilled onion bits and a patty the thickness of a slice of ham? No thanks.

To each his own. White Castle burgers aren't about size. To properly savour a White Castle burger you have to take in the aroma and slowly bite into it, feeling the texture of the bread roll bun, the thin beef patty, and the soft bursting onions. Finally you get to taste the grilled onion flavour that has permeated into the beef and bun through the White Castle unique grilling/steaming process.

People who go to try White Castle burgers with the standard preconception of what a burger should taste like will be disappointed.

2damaxmr2 08-29-2008 02:33 AM

2009 ? Noooooooooooooooo

KingDeeCee 08-29-2008 11:51 AM

HOLY SHIT?! $1 BURGERS?! Thats my new hang out.

EDIT: Oh fuck, it's in Surrey. A place I won't visit anytime soon.

Liquid_o2 08-29-2008 12:52 PM

My friend ate at White Castle in Chicago and ended up with food poisoning. He said they were disgusting but to each his own i suppose. Carl's Jr. burgers look kind of gross to me, but since I live nearby I will probably check it out once just to say I did.

murd0c 09-01-2008 02:46 PM

they havn't even started the site yet. There's a warehosue that they need to tear down. It's going right beside the Chevron on #10 and 152nd.

LOL nice comparison.

Anyways I personally don't think that the White Castle burgers look good, imho they look really disgusting.

I've never had Carl's Jr. I'd rather have a Wendy's burger than drive all the way to Surrey to end up disappointed.

willystyle 09-04-2008 02:23 PM

Forget Carl's Jr, they should bring In-N-out up here, it'll make the entire lower mainland fat. It's that good.

unit 09-04-2008 05:59 PM

ive tried carls jr... it was OK but nothing special... had a big menu tho
