They've been talking about the Canucks schedule on 1040 and how it looks promising for the Canucks.
Canucks right now are 8 points back of the Flames with 2 games in hand. They are 5 points back of the Blackhawks same games played.
15 of the Canucks remaining 18 games are against teams that are out of the playoffs right now. The Hawks on the other hand only have 4 of there remaining 18 against teams out of the playoffs. The Flames have 7 of there remaining 16 against teams out of the playoff picture.
These are games the Nucks need to win more often then not but catching the Hawks or the Flames is not that crazy of a thought any more. Lets hope they keep on rolling.

I have a couple buddies who are Flames fans, I would dearly love to see us knock Calgary out of the Division lead, so I can throw all their taunting from January back in their faces.

Who would be the better opponent for the Canucks in the first round? Several weeks ago, it looked to be that any team they face would be a difficult challenge..

The Blue Jackets, Predators and Coilers would be very beatable if they end up with any of them. The Blue Jackets being the most dangerous because they have a goalie who is playing very well.
IMO the only team they don't really matchup well against is a healthy San Jose other then that anything can happen and skies the limit.

I would prefer for us not to win the NW division. This will then lead to pressure/higher expectations. Right now, I dont care who we play the first round as I just want the team to secure a playoff spot first... but if I had to choose now, bring on chicago please..

Well the Habs with one lose could be out of the playoffs which is quite shocking. I don't know if the coaching change will do much, the Price show in Montreal is done.

CGY will grind us out if it goes to Game 7.. Sedins can never produce when they play against grinding teams like CGY.. DET is naturally good in the playoffs.. I say bring on CBJ/CHI..

1 vs 8
3 vs 6
2 vs 7
4 vs 5
and then the second round is
1/8 vs 3/6
2/7 vs 4/5

I predict a Luongo shutout, unless we get into penalty trouble and they score a pp goal
