Yup, Pens/Flames game is good. SJ is getting wasted, Gaborik rip shit up again tonight with 2g's and 2a's. |

Fuk, Hawks won in OT. Hopefully Flames lose tomorrow, we win both games and take the lead in the NW. |

Have you guys thought about this? Who do the canucks match up better against for the playoffs? Chicago or Columbus. If Nux win the division, they will most likely go up against Columbus. |
Columbus is scary, they're the dark horse with Mason I'd much prefer the Blackhawks |
i'd rather the nucks play the hawks as well |
Just remember the ancient wisdom, "Be careful what you wish for; you just might get it." I remember a few years ago, as the Canucks finished of St. Louis in the first round, how stoked we were that Minnesota beat Colorado to take their series the same night... figuring the Wild would be a lot easier opponent than the Avs. I'm sure we all remember how well that worked out... |
Columbus. Blackhawks have better talent all around. Although that roster doesn't have much play off experience, neither does columbus and Mason, so both are just on par with each other experience-wise. So it just comes down to the talent. Actually, if Chicago surpasses Calgary, I'd rather have that than any of the other 7 teams. We usually play well against division rivals. |

It is quite interesting on how everything plays out. For sure, I don't want the Nucks to play SJ or Detroit in the first round because a) that means the team lost more than 50% of the remaining games and b) those 2 are going to be very strong teams to play against in the first round. If we end up third, most likely we will play CBJ, but it is possible that Calgary or Chicago could lose and end up 6th. |
I think they matchup better against the Hawks but then again they have some really great offensive threats and a blueline that can put the puck in the net. The Jackets on the other hand have a hot rookie goaltender who's played well all year, Rick Nash and Huselius. It would probably be easier to shutdown the Jackets then you find a way to beat Mason more then they beat you. The blue jackets also have a coach that has been to the Conf finals three times and won the cup once. |
i say columbus as well |

I still choose Columbus as Chicago has 5 20+ goal scoreres in Toews, Sharp, Kane, Versteeg & Havlat with a great supporting cast as well (it's just a team loaded with snipers). With Columbus, they're offensive output is primarily generated by Nash followed by Husselius & Umberger. It just seems like the lesser of both tall orders. I have a feeling that if we find a way to shut Nash down, we'd be limiting CBJ to 2 goals or less per game at best. I don't foresee Husselius & Umberger stepping up in dominance to carry the team like Nash would, whereas Chicago's team is not quite as centralized to 1 or 2 key characters as CBJ |

The 3 place spot is either the Canucks' or the Flames', because no one is catching the Sharks or Wings.. I was big into we match up well against X team so I hope we play them...but seeing the Canucks history and as someone mentioned earlier...lets secure a 4th or higher spot so we have home ice and take to the team we play in the first round regardless of who they are..... |
