For a team that sends the NHL some quality players, and has a dominant, winning history (unlike the other Vancouver hockey franchise), he's absolutely right. The majority of people turn their noses up at the notion of seeing the Giants play. If they only knew how hard these young guys played, and how entertaining WHL hockey can be. There have been plenty of Canucks games I've been to that weren't worth what I paid...I can't say the same for the Giants.
And my boys have crushed the hopes and dreams of the Sharks. Joe Thornton wishes he could be Ryan Getzlaf.
And as much as I want Ryan to win the Calder, it's going to Mason. A rookie goalie who leads his team to it's first ever playoffs, and tops the league in shutouts? Done deal. If they took playoffs into consideration though... Quote:

Went to a Giants game back in December and it was A LOT of fun! The kids played hard out there. Best part about the game is the family atmosphere so I don't have to worry about some drunk idiot trying to start shit. Tickets are much cheaper and the game was extremely entertaining.

I've watched the Giants since their 2nd yr in WHL. Their biggest problem is exposure. They don't get enough of it. Just look at The Province. So many times, you get 3-4 pages of Canuck coverages and the Giants get some lame paragraph. Even Sportsnet doesn't do coverage unless it's the playoffs or they have nothing else to talk about. I remember pre-lockout when you buy a ticket and can sit at any seat in the Coliseum. When it was the lockout year, it was the first time I've ever seen sold out crowds at PC and you actually had to sit at the assigned seat on your ticket.
I am one of the many few who got to watch Brule in person and I have to say, no player has yet to have that impact until Kane. But Kane did it quietly while everytime Brule touched the puck, you would expect that something would happen. Reminded me a lot like the anticipation Bure brought to the game.

I'm probably on my own with this but i'd rather the Canucks play the Flames in the 2nd round. They are a really banged up team right now missing Conroy, Langkow and Bourque and the travel schedule wont be as bad for the Canucks... plus it would great if the Canucks knock em out and fuck with the flames once more this season after taking the NW title |

I've been to a few Giants games. These kids are playing for their future. The intensity level is amazing as well. I have seen the likes of Micheal Repik, Gilbert Brule, Milan Lucic Tyson Sexsmith and this year Evander Kane. believe me, these kids put on a good product and its amazing to watch. If anyone remembers world jrs, well, its not quite there, but its the same group of kids.
as for the nucks..yea you would think...after destroying the hawks in the regular season would be easy, but yea, the hawks beat up CGY all season long, and it doesnt look like this series will end earlier either. Jarome Iginla has stepped up, and what Iggypop is the catalyst to alot of CGY's success offensively. The hawks are scary ONLY due to the fact that most of the children there doesnt seem to truely understand "playoff hockey" and the skill level of the talent they have make them great by default.
i unno..no matter what, it will be tough for hte nucks

i remembered on 1040, all the experts mentioned the hawaks will not get far in the playoff. Reason being young team and no playoff experience.
I now in doubt.

I'd rather we take on Iginla, Jokinen, Cammelleri & Dion rather than Toews, Kane, Sharp, Havlat, Seabrook.
All are great talents but the Calgary co. just seems to have lesser out of the 2. The only consolation I think we would have should we get the Hawks despite their tremendous amount of talent pool is their playoff inexperience and that maybe these young guys would run out of steam on the 2nd round.

Anyone have the link to that guy on the Canucks forums who takes candid pics of the team while they're on the road? I think he's their official photographer and travels around with them.

I wouldn't care who the Canucks face i think when we are healthy we match up well to any team.
Although I wouldn't mind seeing another epic series between Canucks and Flames. whenever these two teams have met in the playoffs the winner of the series has gone to the finals...

Agreed. Hawks or Lames I don't care. If were healthy I think we can take either on just fine.
