The Diablo had 300zx lights, the Lotus Esprit had Camry tail lights, etc... cuts down on cost

the mk3 supra, mr2, and all other pop up headlights car share the testarossa headlamps

The Supra and MR2 uses a standard industry size but doesn't the Testarossa use two round lights in the pop up?

Also, seen an RV that had civic tail lights BUT not just one set, 2 full sets! One mounted right side up, the other upside down, right underneath the first set.

Is it just my eyes or are the tail lights on the diablo different on the right and left side? The right has 2 reds and the left has a red and white.

and the rear fog is always on the right in europe, always on the left in N/A

We're not talking about copying the style here... these cars actually use the parts from other cars. The Diablo's headlights if you look close have a carbon fiber strip covering the Nissan branding. The tail lights on the Esprit actually say Nippon Denso on it. You can go to Toyota and buy a set of tail lights for a corolla and it'll fit the Esprit, they're the same parts.

so really, all they're doing is making it a lot less shitty if you accidentally have a broken light. I'd think that's more of a good thing than a bad thing.

Those lights are the same because they are a small volume manufacturers and their money can be better spent else where... especially lights needs to be certified and are very expensive to do.. about 5 mill a light?

Other small niche manufacturers do that all the time.. eg Morgan uses Mini headlights. Invicta uses Passat taillights on the side.

Heck up till Vanquish.. AM still used Ford's interior bits.

What's next you will complain small scale manufacturers uses big 3's blocks?

The Lambo is the only one with a nice back end anyways. The Zonda looks like it has an asshole, and the S7 is just too busy.

I never notice that if you don't point it out.
