FS: T1R coilovers for integra Type-R DC2R sold thanks everyone |
won't work on EK civics |
im sure itll work on ek's with rear itr lca's? |
yeah i'm not really familiar with EKs... like J.EG said, i was told that the front forks are the same as DC2/DC2R, but you need either ITR/DC2R rear LCAs, or EK9s from a civic Type-R. |
how is the ride of these T1R? thinking of getting a set., pls advise. bump |
i have these for my EK, and softest is really comfortable on the streets, not too harsh or anything.. but when u do the stiffest.... damn that hurts your back dd it.. lol - bump this mannn |
like what J.EG said... but i've never tried the stiffest setting because i was on 17's and it was already too rough for me at the lower setttings :) also don't go superlow like i did... the dust boots will bunch up inside the springs and tear. this is common among most coilovers out there. the new dust boot i got from a&j is shorter to compensate for this... unfortunately at the time i bought it they only had the one boot remaining and everything else was on backorder from japan. |
thx for advise Quote:
does it lower nicely on a EK? and does these T1R give good cornering? how's the wear on them, any noise? bump bump , *buy* it |
i had these on an integra, so i'm not sure what it would be like on an EK (hopefully J.EG can help me out here). i didn't play around much with the damping settings... i think i had it on the 3rd lowest setting, where it gave what i felt was the best compromise in ride/handling i needed for daily driving. before these i used to have stock shocks with tanabe lowering springs, which was a disappointment. the car wasn't sitting level, and when the shocks started to fail prematurely, i had a lot of bouncing going on  as for good cornering... i liked it, but it's very dependent on how your setup is. i've seen people shell out big $$$ for coilovers, but are still on 14" steelies and all seasons :p condition... there is some surface rust on the threads, but it wipes off with wd40. it's unavoidable... i don't tell you how much it rains here :( . but i didn't go out in the winter so there is none of that white fuzzy corrosion stuff on it. when they were still on the car, they were not making any weird noises. it's just the torn dust boots that's an issue, as i can only provide one new replacement. you'll need to contact a&j racing to see when they can get more. |

back to the top... |
bump... all pm's replied to. |
back to the top. no lowballers or timewasters please. i've unfortunately had a few people who didn't show up or wanted $400 off the price because of a $20 dust boot  also not interested in trades. i do not need your stock parts because i don't own an integra anymore. |
back to the top. all pm's replied to. |
bump 10 char |
is this still for sale? I am interested in. I sent you a message, hope you checked mine |
pm replied. i don't know enough to explain in detail all the parts and how coilovers work... i'm afraid of giving out bad/false information :( please contact a&j with technical questions as well as the cost to install, as they are a T1R retailer. |
back to the top... lots of interest, but no $$$ to buy :( |
lost another buyer... dammit that makes three  1. car totaled 2. car accident 3. pay fines or lose license bump again. |
coilovers are currently at aj racing getting the boots looked at/replaced... |
boots have been replaced and the coilovers visually checked over by a&j... $50 total at my expense so now everything is good. i'll be going to pick them up sometime this week. |
i just picked them up this afternoon from a&j... everything looks great  |
back to the top... xmas is coming! |
I bought spoon calipers from thumper, bump for a good guy  |
