Thanks for all the pics. I miss Japan.... | I miss Japan too. It's true...there are plenty of bums but they won't ask you for money or bother you in any way. There's no sense of entitlement with them. Even the bums there know you have to earn your way. Every bum here thinks you're an asshole because you don't want to give them money for nothing. Bums and panhandlers are a plague on Vancouver. In Tokyo, they're barely an inconvenience.
The bums in Japan are actually quite well taken care of (there are designated areas for them and for the most part, they don't bother people). They are usually quite organized as I've seen many of them take off their shoes before getting into their makeshift shelters and hang clothes to dry that they've washed in public sinks or hoses.
Some are even quite famous and are sort of...tourist attractions. Hattori-san, who walks around the middle of Shibuya, for example. Do a search on Flickr if you want to know.

Hi guys! I have been busy with school and work, and plus I am lazy! here is another update
Day 3
Man, its been so long I don't really remember! But I will try my best
The plan for today was just to chill around kyoto...first up we headed over to some temple. We saw a lot of dead insects, its pretty interesting, because a lot of them are at least the length of my thumb. The weather is rather humid, very very hot, I think it was around 30C!
Sigh, the bike I had to ride >_>
The bike ride to the temple was around 15 minutes. Once you ride the bike, it doesn't feel as hot anymore. Japan is always interesting as there are lot of things to see!
What is this? o_O
^^^
Apparently the dried plum at this temple is really famous! The place smelled a bit sour with a strong dried plum aroma...

This is place where you throw some yen in, pull that long ass rope, and make a wish!
^^^
I forgot what that is....
This temple is actually surrounded by a big park
The door!

Part 2:
Today was the last day we are planning to stay in kansai, so I harsh loaded up on instant food, and I mean, ANY KIND! Here is the 100 yen store!
All the cheap booze ftw!!
And look what I saw...
If i remember it right, I believe it was an Nur spec-II
There weren't many japanese sport cars that I saw in this area, the only other one I saw was an Evo X when I was heading to super auto backs
Then we took the train to city central to do some shopping
The intensively complex subway station...
Didn't take much pictures while shopping, because I was busy!
STUSSY STORE!! I never got the time to go in though!

edit: just read ur initial post nevermind! | I can chime in on this a bit more. In the Kansai area, its surrounded by mountains, so when it gets hot, there is also no wind, its almost like getting baked! I wore a polo shirt and jeans once in Kansai, and I really need to take a shit; it was the worst feeling ever! I felt like I was cooking my own shit in myself! I almost fainted trying to hold the crap and the hotness...
