its a good thing i didnt deal with them

I don't feel sorry for DAS. Yes they were sponsors on this forum but like I said before they used RS members and basically told them to piss off when they started getting other customers. You don't bite the hand that feeds you and you sure in hell don't turn your back on people who helped you in the beginning.

September 2008 & Beyond

Wow, 12 years of detailing already! It has been a pleasure and a serious challenge dealing with such a diverse and up tempo company that has had the fortunes to deal with every and all facets of the automotive detailing industry. We have serviced a very large amount of consumers over the past years from professional athletes with very specific needs to high end dealerships that require a top of the line product every time, on through to our loyal car washing customers who were always willing to work with us to get their cars done at nearly any cost.

Over the past couple of years, we have had a problem keeping up the high quality us and our customers expect from our shop. The reason behind this is not so simple. In general we had an inability to keep trained employees doing their jobs without constant supervision by us directly which in turn resulted in sub par work being done and cars leaving the shop in a state in which we and you the customer would not be happy with at times.

We have decided that it is best for us to focus our energy on Paint Protection Film and Tinting for the time being and step away from the detailing side of the company as it was and is our intentions to provide a superior product every time at all times. In the future we expect to get back into detailing in a much lesser volume and highest quality work.

We look forward to seeing our past customer again and meeting all of our new customers from this point forward.

hopefully this is a qoute typed up by them and not by a paid typist. Maybe i'll give them another try sometime in the future, but until they're rep gets 110% better and i get glaucoma, i rather DIY it or pay a person that has a passion for detailing.

alex.w *// 09-29-2008 10:10 PM

lets all move on to unique detailing

maru 09-30-2008 12:22 AM

I appreciated the Revscene discount, but I knew something was wrong when they finished the full service detail on my Range Rover in about 3 hours. When I got the truck back, it had been washed and wiped down, but I can't understand how it could have received clay barring, polish, wax, engine shampoo, and leather conditioning that quickly with one guy working there, and 3 other cars getting worked on. Should have read reviews!

68style 09-30-2008 08:18 AM

I love how employees get blamed... if employees suck then obviously management sucks too, one is not created without the other.

boatcaptain 09-30-2008 08:51 AM

well at least they took the first step admitting they suck, some1 shud post a thread on how to detail ur own car step by step hehe

|<e|_ 09-30-2008 11:03 AM

after they tinted my car, it rattles like shit in near the back window.

DowntownAutoSpa 12-01-2008 02:02 PM

Ouch!

Those are all some nasty comments from these forums we have had to read...

As a few have said it best, what are you supposed to do when managment being sara and I did not act in hiring only the best. and a host of other problems that couldnt be typed out in an hour and shouldnt need to be explained. We have a very good explination on our site and thought it should be acceptable and thought there is no reason to come here any cry about our business failure.

We are very sorry for any issues or problems that may have been caused to anyone in any way shape or form.

If there is any undealt with business please send us an e-mail at info@downtownautospa.com and we will surly get it sorted out as we did not, and do not have any intentions of leaving anyone high and dry for any reason.

As for all of the complaints we have just read throughout the forum we are astonished to find out what people are saying and have had almost no contact from any of the problems other then 997turbo, who just called me today and has had months to complain if he had an issue.

As said on our site, we no longer do detailing nor tinting we will however continue to do mobile paint protection film installations. We can assure you that when the shop was running correctly there was no issues, but your only as good as your last car and when the quality is not up to par there is then a problem.

Once again sorry for any work that was not done properly, and if you feel there is anything left to deal with please e-mail us at info@downtownautospa.com

I did call you monthes back infact I called twice since. And then you changed your website and phone number.

The whole reason for starting this thread was not to kick dirt on your name but find out where you been. You'd think you'd have some contact info on your previous site for your existing customers but you don't.

Im not sure what other peoples experience is with your company but mine wasnt the greatest, but I have to at least give you kudos for telling me to bring it in to the shop to check it out. Ill be dropping by tommorow.

I emailed them yesterday and heard back that they will accommodate looking at my clearbra problem as well as my pre-paid purchase.

ryan9939 11-02-2009 09:16 AM

This company still around?

tool001 11-02-2009 09:45 AM

i got my car done early last year, only bra and tinting, didn't have any problems, got RS discount and even cab fare refunded. So no complains.

ya, but are they still around? It looks like a place called "Showroom Autospa" has taken over that location, but I want to know if its the same owners/employees. I have a prepaid voucher for a detail and tint from early 2008 that I wanted to take advantage of, but their old phone number/website doesn't work anymore.

car looked like shit and had holograms all over the place. they claybar'd half of my rear window and didn't wax the rear bumper.

tried to get my money back but they basically said to bad so sad.

I have searched, but all I can find is that it looks like they have moved, and no where have I found that they've gone out of business... maybe you can point me to a link or something?

Bonka 11-03-2009 07:02 PM

This was where they had moved to from E.5th..
