Downtown Auto Spa

Visit their website, it looks like they are not detaling anymore, and only doing mobile tinting and chip protection. If find this very odd.

They would be smart to change there name and location as well after soiling there reputation as a business.

smoothie. 09-14-2008 09:53 AM

lol focusing on sucking at clear bra installs?

RC0310_EJ 09-14-2008 10:10 AM

i think they can't afford to pay rent anymore

Jason00S2000 09-14-2008 11:29 AM

That's what you get for doing work with 19 year old kids with busted ass Camry's who do as much as they can to ruin your rep

If I had a high end detailing place I would only accept high end clients

Then again, I'm probably just drunk and talking out of my ass! Haha!

b-dub 09-14-2008 12:09 PM

LOL, wtf? They stop detailing cars now? Winter is around the corner and that's when everyone gets their cars washed at detailing places.

Harvey Specter 09-14-2008 01:53 PM

Lol, what a bunch of jokers.

yvrnycracer 09-14-2008 01:58 PM

i thought they moved over to exotic car row!?

TRD3000GT 09-14-2008 03:40 PM

Anybody still have the prepaid package voucher? :lol

godwin 09-14-2008 03:56 PM

detailing pretty much anyone can get the tools to do it.. chip protection, you need a plotter/cutter + the latest templates.. so guess which one has a higher profit margin?

in the end, it is a business

Ch28 09-14-2008 05:18 PM

I love how they don't even have an address on their site :bowrofl:

Yes, it's a business and they're free to follow whatever business model they choose. However, while they started out pretty well, their PR with much of the automotive enthusiast community has been less than stellar. I can't get into a lot of detail (har har) but there have been plenty of unhappy customers knocking on their door that, unless they were pushed and prodded and forced to, they simply ignored.

A business in this field is only as successful as your reputation is.

MegaMx 09-14-2008 05:58 PM

i'm glad to see they got what they deserve

997turbo 09-14-2008 06:53 PM

Yup they lick balls no intelligence whatsoever. I dont even wanna go into it cause it was not one or two instances but several that they screwed me over on.

keifun 09-14-2008 10:56 PM

oh wells..I guess its time to try the competition now.

:D

saiko 09-14-2008 11:10 PM

I'm so glad I never bought gift certs from them..... They seemed so promising when they first started off. Good info, good prices, and constantly posting to keep in touch with customers and potential customers.

Money goes straight to the head sometimes...

SpuGen 09-14-2008 11:35 PM

Money, and Marijuana.
:lol

Jackygor 09-14-2008 11:48 PM

avoid them like plague. I got my 3m clear bra installed by the OWNER himself and it still sucks, I need to reschedule a time to redo it before they forget I was once their client.

gars 09-14-2008 11:56 PM

funny cuz you can still get to the old site through some of the links - and the page about their detailing services can still be found

orgasm_donor 09-15-2008 12:44 AM

I actually have to give them props.
Without them I would never have learned how to properly detail my car on my own and do a great job doing it by avoiding their practices and techniques.

+1 for DIY

MarkyMark 09-15-2008 06:27 AM

Are there any other places in the lower mainland that installs clearbra's and won't do a shitty job?

q0192837465 09-15-2008 09:22 AM

too bad, they were pretty nice a couple years back.

CanadaGoose 09-15-2008 03:30 PM

They had it coming, that place was such a fuckin joke. A real house of horrors for your car

I paid almost $300 for a job I could've done better myself. Really made me realize how much DIY is worth.

Thanks for opening my eyes Down Town Autospa

Kagemusha 09-15-2008 03:30 PM

They took my trunk cargo net and denied they did it.

Must have been a magical elf.

Matsuda 09-15-2008 05:11 PM

fucking elves! they're in league with the underpants gnomes!
