cetaphil! cheepest place i've seen it is costco in the states. Strange since cetalphil is made in Canada.

I've also started using cetaphil's moisturizing creams.

Almost more importantly than the wash you're using, is the moisturizer.

The better it smells, the more chemicals. Things like menthol and other 'cooling sensation' ingredients are really bad for your skin.

I use Aveeno since it's all natural and good for sensitive skin. Make sure your aftershave and shaving creme are ok for sensitive skin as well!

Totally outrageously expensive, but there is nothing better than the Creme De La Mer facewash -- you actually use so little that it might work out to be not so overpriced, but I could be making that up.

Superstore sells a knockoff "Exact" brand for about $10 from what I can remember. The ingredients are exactly the same and it felt the same when I used it. I think the bottle was smaller though so be sure to compare the size.

There are a few types of spectro, I use the most neutral one that has no fragrance. If you check the ingredients list, Spectro has way less harsh ingredients than Cetaphil and used to advertise this fact on the bottle. For instance Spectro has no sodium lauryl sulphate while Cetaphaphil does. SLS is a harsh detergent that gives a product the "nice" lather that people associate with the product working.

I'd go by Science rather than anecdotal experience any day.

+1 for Spectro Gel
Spectro has different formulas for different skin types, it is PH balanced, lanolin, parabens, and fragrance free. The problem with most cleansers these days is that it works too well, in a sense where it breaks the skin`s natural defence barrier, and strip it of its natural moisture.

I recommend treading lightly on Tee Tree Oil products, you may have a reaction to it like me... Used it for 2 days an my whole face went red and like 10-20 pimples started popping up.. took about 1-2weeks to heal leaving some battle scars.. =/ still healing atm...

I was using the orange one and it was quite harsh on my skin, even though that was specifically for my skin type. I mean not to go against science, but you can't deny your skin's own reaction to a product.

Haven't used the orange. I use the purple one, and it's been great.

OT, but my friend's mom bought her Filipina helper Creme De La Mer moisturizer as a Christmas present. Talk about being out of touch!

Hmm you could be right, the orange one has Ethonal which could be the culprit. But don't you live in another country? Could be the humidity levels. It is a lot drier here.

I personally like using Montee Sensitive Milk Cleanser and/or O'Derme Gel Cleanser. The milk cleanser is probably the best face wash I've used to date. Both are a bit pricier than your average face wash though. You're looking at $60-100 depending on where you get it.
