Ulic Qel-Droma 11-05-2008 10:21 AM

ive been using chrome...

lilaznviper 11-05-2008 01:17 PM

yes chrome FTW

Jmac 11-05-2008 03:39 PM

Opera for me ...

Gh0stRider 11-06-2008 02:34 PM

I've been using Chrome as well, but was just wondering how IE8 compares.

lilaznviper 11-06-2008 03:23 PM

i found that IE8 is much slower

icanpolish 11-06-2008 05:00 PM

OMG, I absolutely loved FF2... then hated FF3.

But now, Chrome is what FF3 should have been.

Chrome is like looking out the Window but with no glass blocking your view.

RFlush 11-06-2008 05:13 PM

I noticed a lot of problems with Chrome. Some youtube videos can't be played, you can't view image properties, and some files can't be downloaded.

Spoon_SIR 11-06-2008 05:25 PM

when is the full version coming out?

muteki 11-06-2008 06:12 PM

IE8 doesn't seem to like school's "BlackBoard" system. -_-

AzNightmare 11-07-2008 02:43 PM

lol, I'm still on IE6. The neweer versions are too Vista and bubbly for me.

Same for FF3 and Chrome.
This is towards sfu's webct.

Harvey Specter 03-19-2009 03:32 PM

IE8 is out and it seems a bit faster compared to IE7.

way2quik 03-19-2009 04:02 PM

out of beta? RC?
I thought it was going to be a few more months.

nvm, i checked from a source.
Expect it from windows auto updates.

I can't wait.
Even though FF is my primary browser, I do like IE's drop down bookmark and Chrome's fast bootup and page load times.

IE6 FTW... except now on my main computer, for some reason it has serious memory leak issues. :(

Harvey Specter 03-19-2009 05:25 PM

You don't have to wait for windows update, it's been up since noon today;

Opening a new tab is so much slower than IE7 for me.

way2quik 03-20-2009 12:04 PM

IE8 looks kinda neat.
I like the Web Slice feature, is it just another name for Feeds but with added features?
InPrivate browsing is also a new feature. Chrome calls it Incognito.
And sites that were meant to be viewed with older browsers now can be viewed in IE8 with the Compatibility View.
Also, the Accelerator can map locations just by highlighting the address. If only they added maps.google.com and not use live.com

hotjoint 03-20-2009 01:27 PM

still using ie6 :)

J____ 03-20-2009 02:38 PM

im on ie8, its sweet. the new search features when u highlight the words

way2quik 03-20-2009 03:09 PM

I'm still having trouble understanding the coloured tabs.
I think it's colour coded by tabbed, favourites and session... etc.

danned 03-20-2009 10:18 PM

i don't think much ppl would use it

way2quik 03-22-2009 08:40 AM

Tabs do load longer.
It seems everyone is experiencing this problem.
This will be my main browser till Chrome implements addons.

Harvey Specter 03-22-2009 08:25 PM

No issues with the tabs here but the tabs are setup differently in IE8;
