Agreed. I work on Steveston Hwy so every once in a while I go down to Pajo's for lunch. Fish is delicious, im not sold on the fries though. But the fish is worth it alone.

And I live 5 min from Al & Jan's in Surrey and I think its even better than Pajo's. Less greasy and the batter is so light and crispy!! Plus on Mondays and Tuesdays they have all you can eat!!!

Shred_Head 11-20-2008 01:07 PM

There's this fish and chips joint in Surrey. Fraser Highway and 152. Right beside the Save-On-Foods.

All you can eat on select days.

Mmmmm yum! You gotta go early for the all you can eat though. After 7pm they start closing up shop for some reason :(

murd0c 11-20-2008 04:41 PM

they close earily there I think 730 or 8. they have great cod there I don't even get halibit.

HonestTea 11-20-2008 10:44 PM

mon-wed, all day ayce for $9.

CRiXy 11-21-2008 02:44 AM

Cockney Kings AYCE cod is a good deal, but if you want QUALITY fish and chips, you MUST have HALIBUT there!

I also like Dave's in Steveston and this place by the Keg on Granville Island.

raygunpk 11-21-2008 03:11 AM

How does AYCE work there? What's on the menu other than fish and chips?

Tim Budong 11-21-2008 03:59 AM

Pajos is BY FAR the best fish n chips i've had in town
Daves is awesome, but dont come close
hmm..maybe i should goto pajos b4 school

i do like..a 2 min WALK away from the BEST FOODS in richmond

its just ayce cod...finish ya plate, ask for another one. get pop. get stuffed.
if you want other stuff (not ayce)
they have..
halibut, salmon, oysters, platter....
and a fun little placemat that shows you different cockney slang

murd0c 11-21-2008 06:53 AM

it's of course ayce fries as well

Grandmaster TSE 11-21-2008 12:26 PM

gotta agree with most of you guys, pajos ftw

ashtaron14 11-21-2008 05:08 PM

I think Pajo's is average, they aren't very consistent. If there's plenty of people then the fish is good. On a weekday sometimes the quality isn't as good.

I personally like Dave's Fish & Chips (in Steveston Village) because I think Pajo's thickness of the fish isn't what I want.

The thickness of the fish that I like for Fish & Chips is around the Spot's Fish & Chips, and thier beer batter isn't too bad I think.

Trolls by horseshoe bay is good.

I think on Monday and Wednesday, for $8.99 you get AYCE cod with unlimited fries and pop. It's a good deal, but very high in fat with all the batter you'll be eating. Most I've had was 6 pieces and I was so fucked up after that, LOL! So greasy.

This is exactly what I find. So now I go there only on sunny weekends, when the turnover is good.
