My pizza place, in Vic, accepts AMEX now, after we bitched them out. We told them that there's no way we'll accept their card when we have to pay twice as much as for other cards, so they lowered it to less than half of the other cards.

yeah costco better close down the whole store when i shop in there with a black amex card! can't wait to stock up on candy and easter decorations (referring to how they stock festive items months in advance)

Ditto - hotels, rental car...I use amex quite often. =)

Lot's of everyday purchases in the mall, etc. take only visa/mastercard, but restaurants, etc. should take amex.

RFD is like the gathering of the cheapest people in whole Canada.

and the fact that there's a buysell forum there as well, which makes no sense at all. Seller wants to get the most they want, buyer wants the cheapest
