Changing your gear box to right to left

Hello, I have a nissan skyline and I was thinking of some custom ideas to do to it and thought about being able to shift right to left instead of left to right since I am driving on the right side. If anyone knows anything about this process or any custom automotive shop that does this sort of thing or if its even possible, let me know thank you.

Japan probably would have thought of that if it was a good idea, seeing as how they all drive and shift from the right side ;)

as for your question, no idea!

I've seen a RHD Ferrari in person with this done. I was believed to be it was stock. This was in Italy however.

Well I was just thinking of something unique to do to my car whether its expensive or not is not the issue car tuning in general is an expensive hobby. your right though whether its worth it, probably not but we'll see.

The shifter goes directly into the transmission, not like a cable / linkage where you could modify them to do so.

You'd be looking at alot of money, not worth it IMO

That is redundant. You modify the actual shafts that engage the shift forks inside the transmission, the externals don't matter, the reqwuired mods would be the same for any transmission.

It'd be easy enough to do if you understand how the shift forks and shafts that engage them work- it's just a matter of machine work/modifying the shafts.

If you aren't capable of pulling your own trans, disassembling the top end of it, and then advising a machinist on what you want chaged, it will be expensive, just becuase you would be paying to have all of the thinking done for you.

It's not actually complicated or hard though.

Stupid Idea.. but

This would be WAY cooler than that.
Never miss a Shift!
Clutch still needs to be used.
